To be honest, it looks like a well executed bit of work. But wouldn't a camera/screen system be more effective and maybe less expensive?

Just curious...

Thanks. And how do they let you know you're getting close? Audio through the stereo? A separate unit?

Hi Dave,

If you do this again, any chance you can take photos and do a description of how to get the rear bumper off please, as I'd like to fit sensors to mine.

Recently fitted some Cobra flush ones (BMW/Audi factory look) to my son's Hyundai Coupe and they look great and work really well.

Cheers

Mike

Must admit I was looking at doing this with mine too, although having done some research I might go for the lazy option of a cordless rear camera kit.

I get what you mean, but whenever I drive a car with a camera I am not comfortable with the distance perspective and always have the sneaky feeling it's going to show me what I've just hit

It does take a bit to get used to the perspective with a camera, I have one on my other car and have found that the old saying of 'objects may be closer than they appear' to be true, you certainly need to keep the speed down when using it.
