Very nice, Mo! Likewise, we'd be happy to travel to the Pyrenees - if we hadn't recently blown all our spare cash on an certain motor car - have fun!
November for us is much easier - as of right now, the only w/e we can't do is 10/11th.

Er... yes, that's what I thought you said, you were right first time - the w/e of 6/7 IS Oct... !
So, maybe you could still do sometime in Nov. - weather permitting...?

I'm going mad we leave for Spain on 27th Oct and return on 3rd Nov so yes we would be able to do something w/e 10th/11th Nov weather permitting also cash flow permitting being so close to coming back from Spain

As long as you go on the right day and on the right 'plane - you've still got a month to make sure!
But I'm afraid you're still going slightly mad - 10/11 is the only Nov. w/e we CAN'T do (see post 21).
So how about 17/18 or 24/25? - also gives the cashflow a fighting chance...!
And would those dates suit anyone else?
Scooby? Cava? Thunder? Dal?

I'm also away earlyto mid October and November is also going to be difficult. Personally I think it would be better to deffer this until next year, which will give us time to sort out dates, money and routes.

Sure - makes sense to spend more time preparing for a proper weekend event, especially for those travelling from further away who might need several night's accommodation.
But, in the meantime, there's still no reason a few 'locals' can't get together for a day's run and a pub lunch somewhere (maybe treat it as a recce. for something bigger next year) - just takes a little more organising when the population's smaller and so much more scattered as it is in these parts.
Like I said, I'm open to suggestions - anyone prefer to PM me and then maybe discuss over the phone, if that's easier?

So you're taking the SRT to the Pyrenees...?! - nice trip!!
So we'll try to plan a decent 'do' maybe next spring? - perhaps some of those more experienced in such arrangements could step to help with this...?
In the meantime, if a few locals want to liaise for a Scottish day trip, I'm up for it - any takers?
