I have cancelled our booking so I would imagine there is now an empty room in the Ibis going begging!

LAON

HISTORIQUE
France, 2013
Fri – Mon
May 17 – 20

Entry List Below as at 22.01.2013:
  1. BOOKED Ibis & Premier Inn Dover 16.05.12 Steve + Tina. Crossfire Aero Blue SRT Coupe
  2. BOOKED Ibis Damien Searby + One. Crossfire Sapphire Silver Blue SRT Coupe or Roadster
  3. BOOKED Ibis Mo & Gill Perry Crossfire Black SRT Coupe
  4. BOOKED Ibis Mike Price Derby + One. Crossfire Black SRT Roadster or Startech 3.8
  5. BOOKED Ibis Steve & Elaine Paige Crossfire Sapphire Silver Blue SRT Roadster
  6. BOOKED Ibis Ken & Jane Hallett Crossfire Black Roadster
  7. BOOKED Etap Darren & Jo Crossfire Aero Blue SRT Roadster
  8. BOOKED Etap Colin & Julie Mazda MX5
  9. BOOKED Ibis Paul & Jan. Crossfire Aero Blue Roadster
  10. BOOKED Etap Lawrence Hunt + One. AC Cobra
  11. BOOKED ???? Robert & Corrine Crossfire
If travelling some distance it may be worth booking Premier Inn Dover closest to docks for the Thurs night before. We will all be on the same ferry, mid morning sailing. The buzz definately starts as we assemble at Dover waiting to board the ferry. Its 140 miles down to Laon all motorway and we will have a coffee stop about half way. Hotels are on outskirts of Laon and we will be able to spend evenings in Laon. I understand there will be a get together for all entrants on Friday evening in Laon (details TBC). We can also get together to make a plan for Saturday.

The Saturday event starts in Laon when drivers sign on and collect their Rally Plate, route book and map book, and start in number order. Due to large number of cars there may be different scenic drive routes, but last year we stuck together irregardless to avoid being split up. There is a lunch stop en route and the villagers come out in force to welcome us and wave as we pass through tooting our horns and waving back! The route is quite long and takes through some nice parts of rural France well away from the tourist routes.

The Sunday procession again Starts In Laon and follows a closed street circuit. Some congestion is to be expected at first but soon goes as the vintage cars leave the circuit allowing some fun as we drive around and through the town. The rules say No Racing - No Speeding and care is needed due to close proximity of many thousands of spectators, so a sensible approach is needed especially on the corners and narrow streets!

Rather than follow the motorway back to Calais on Monday we expect to again take a leisurely scenic route stopping off for coffee and a bite along the way to catch a teatime boat. Please add any questions in this thread and those that went last time can respond. This a great weekend not to be missed, and I can inderstand why so many British cars do this event year on year.[/QUOTE]

Who else has cancelled Steve?

According to the list there are 9 Crossfires so if we exclude Mo & Ken who else is not going?

Can the list be cleaned up with who is attending and in what?

Hi please see the list at the start of this thread which I updated at 3pm yesterday when Ken unfortunately had to withdraw. as previousley noted, I can only edit my original post and not where other folks have copied the list and posted it again it further down the thread. There are now 6 Crossfires left from the original 9 due to Damian, Mo and Ken unable to go. However, I do now know of at least one further Crossfire owner who will be there but have no details of them yet so will no doubt meet at Dover. Cheers Steve

Just a quick update, i realised the money had not gone from the account, so i contacted continetal car tours only to recieve a mail asking me to call them to make payments over the phone or bacs, i called them and have made the payment, i think they have contacted all the attendees bit need money by the 1st of March,
Also , not that it makes a great deal of difference but Lawrence in the Cobra is staying at the Ibis and not the Etap, looking forward to it already!
