Red face Scary Moment

Auto XFR - Parked in town - reversed into parking space and walked away, on return unlocked car got in put key in lock and wouldn't turn!! Heard of stories associated with this issue costing serious money

Took out key tried re-locking and unlocking car still won't turn - remembered that on a test drive of another car did same thing and guy stuck a biro down the bottom of selector gate - no biro!!

Struggled to get mobile out of pocket to ring for help - put weight on steering wheel and heard click and yes key turned - steering lock ***** said I and drove home but

Of course turning round to park in drive kerbed nearside front

Just one of those days

THANK YOU "Robskytoon", thank you, thank you. You saved me a ($$) tow to the dealership because I could not turn the key in the ignition.

Most cars do this as far as I know if the steering wheel ends up in a preloaded position. My CF does it at times and I go Oh! Oh!

Curbing the wheels? I felt like selling my NA when this happened to it.
