New Member - Road Tax
Folks .. struggling to get my head round this ... so can you help. (This is to UK drivers). as seem to get conflicting info on different sites.
If its an (06) registered xfire ... what is the road tax?
If its the higher (£460 ish ) .. what is the latest registration I should be looking at to keep it to the lower £260 (ish)
Many thanks
Ian

I guess that's the only response I could expect from a Gooner.
No I don't have "loads of money" which is why I look after what I have.

He posted it twice .. cos he finds the forums a bit confusing at his time of life
On the serious side .. thanks for the replys guys ... tho might end up having to swallow the larger road tax to get a new module.
Cheers

I have two other cars to use (Astra estate car for work and a Golf deisel), but the SRT is on a sorn and quite happy standing outside in the fresh air. I like to be able to use the garage for workshop. I usually start it for 5/10 mins each week to let run up to full temp and let the fan kick in. I steam cleaned it underneath when i got it as I have done with prev Crossfires and they come up well, a bit of care is needed where you point the jet and how close you get, then afterwards a quick grease around.
DAL I hope you cleaned inside front and rear wheel arch lips before you put her in the bubble lol

No I left the car covered in **** before putting it away for the winter

I assume you realise by starting your car and letting it idle will leave a load of water sitting in the exhaust?
As I'm sure you know most exhausts rot from the inside out.
Can we also give it a rest regarding what I do with MY car during the winter months!
