Indicators/ reverse lights/ blown fuses!
Indicators/ reverse lights/ blown fuses!
Hey y'all...
An update from the last (very tragic) post entitled 'crossed fingers'.
The Chrysler specialists in Sydenham, SE26 did numerous diagnostics, and the reader said there were no issues...
The indicators went from working, then slowly giving up, then blowing the fuse to turning indicators on (either direction) and INSTANTLY blowing the fuse!
They messed aroud with a couple of wires- not the problem.
They tried a new relay- not the problem.
They then said it could be the PCM (!!) - not the problem.
The diagnostician then said he'd try a 'multifunction' switch, and HEY PRESTO! Indicators work, no blown fuses! And for all the agro they'd put me through they didn't charge me labour, so I just ended paying for the switch + VAT (they left the new relay in too... How nice of them).
Oh, and I went to the first garage, and said I wanted my (functioning) hazard and reverse swtches back- shockingly they said they'd thrown them in the bin! So to keep me as a customer, they said they'd service Chrystine for free...
So we got a happy ending... Always nice!

180, do you mean the gear stick, or the indicator stick?
I meant the indicator stick/multifunction switch as that was all part of the circuit , glad you got the problem fixed.
You should add this post at the bottom of your original thread so we all know it was fixed and the cause of the problem.
