Once again, lack of communication. I should have been more specific and said lay the 2x10 Flat!! To glue bumper back, try using the 2 part stuff irrigation (lawn Sprinkler) installers use, but be sure you have ir where you want it or forgeddabouditt.

See ya at the dance

Same question here, my wife's '05 has freeplay at the extreme ends of the turning radius. It seems fine in the center while driving straight (feels tight, no sloppy feel), but while turning (like doing a three point turn around) the wheel has about a 1" of play before it starts to move the wheels. Any ideas would help.

Just ordered one for when I get my car back from the body shop, hopefully sometime next week. Can't wait to get hubby to install. Steering always felt kind of loose.

Changed mine last month and noticed only a slight difference. Changed Ashley's and "WOW", awesome difference. You really notice the difference when turning. Less slop.

Just got mine on yesterday and it really helps with the tracking problem when you hit a bump. My car stays on course now. Today, new tires!

Lately my car has been acting weird with sharp right hand turns, especially noticeable when turning the wheel all the way and having weird clunking noises driving slowly. I was on the highway taking a right turn pretty fast and the abs light was flashing. I know I wasn't losing any traction, just weird to see that happen. So I'm guessing it's the dampener. Just ordered mine for $31 shipped. Can't wait to install it to see if it fixes the problem. Only have 23k miles on her.

Been reading the thread with interest.

Apart from the awful ride my big problem is that when I have the steering on full lock for a moment it feels like the front wheels struggle for grip when moving off. Has anyone noticed this problem and could a new dampner be me answer?

My next problem is I'm in the UK and not sure where to look for this part. Would a trip to my local Merc dealer be a good idea?

I'm 45,000 miles in and due for new tyres.

Cheers

Muscle it should make a noticeable difference in the handling of your car ,It did for me when I installed mine ,it stopped all the road drift , and the steering feels more stable

I also just ordered one from www.joeTLC.com a couple a days ago, I have noticed some free play in my steering as well. Paid $31.00 also so I hope I can get before the weekend, so I can install it this weekend.

Thanks for the info, I should probably get one as I've noticed some steering wandering.
