Question Checking the TPMS

I just got back from the Goodyear dealer, with 4 new shoes for my 2004. It occurred to me that I should check to see that the TPM system was properly re-installed. Then I realized that I have no idea how the TPMS works

Value stems, sensors in wheels....

I searched this forum, and it sounds like the best way to makes sure that it was re-installed is to go to a local gas station, and let enough air out of one of the tires to trigger the TPMS.

Is that the best way?

Thast what I did. I think there must be an easier way though. You will need to check all 4 tires obviously..

to re-set the tpms you need to slide 4 round magnets over the valve stems, and use the DRB to tell the sensors at what pressure to activate the dummy light.
