Default Brake Pad Sensors

Ok, I've searched through all the posts, and nobody really answers the question "should you replace the wear sensors everytime you do the pads"? At least not that I could find. Mine just started warning me, and I will probably drive it a week. Yay or Nay?

All the things do is complete a ground circuit on the rotor when it gets too thin. If the end isnt ground off too short, I don't see why one couldn't just clean it nice and purty and re-use it.

Anyone else?

I would agree with that. I would also be worried about making sure there is enough pad left to not be grinding up the rotor.

Ditto on the sensors. I don't think I would chance driving around any longer without replacing the pads...unless you have the money for rotors and all.......then it doesn't matter.

Chances are you will only need to replace one of the sensors.
The chance of all 4 sensors actually touching the rotors is slim, the front sensor(s) are probably the one(s) that are detecting low pads - especially if this is your first brake pad change.
So... change the sensor(s).
