Re: C32 Brake upgrade
You can find the minimum thickness on the Brembo site and then have they seller mic them. If they are still legal to turn and you go with ceramic pads, there rotors will last a very long time. I ran Ceramic pads on my stock set up for almost two years and the rotors had no measurable wear and the pads still look brand new.
Re: C32 Brake upgrade
Can somebody help me out??
I tried seeing if these brakes fit my car by cross checking on Brembo, but Brembo has no data for a ML55.
Is anybody wise enough to look at these and can tell if they are good or not... here is the link

Any help is greatly appreciated

Re: C32 Brake upgrade
Don't think those would work for you without other changes being made. Being from an SUV I believe they would just be to large (Note* i am by no means any kind of expert)I assume they would also require more fluid and so on being 8 piston. Rotor size would again be large (looks like 380 or so) as this was designed to stop something much bigger/heavy than the xfire. Even if they did fit I think performace would be way down just because of weight, I could be way off though, somebody please correct me if I am wrong!

Re: C32 Brake upgrade
Most likely these will work. I checked the Brembo site that I provided a link for and the ML55 is listed. The ML55 aliper is designed for the same size rotor as the C32 at 345mm. These ML55 calipers do not have the same thickness at the mounting tabs as the C32 and you would have to run the washers or some other kink of spaver as I did. I did not check the rear but they could probably bolt on as well with the right rotor.

Hi Lantana,
I was reading through your thread, and understand that you are using parts for a major upgrade in caliper size and rotor size.
What would you use if you just wanted to switch from the single piston front calipers to dual piston front calipers, to still be used with the stock 300mm rotor?
Bat and I took her Roadster and my Boxster to the track last Saturday, and her car suffered severe brake fade at pace, and we want to upgrade the front calipers in order to help diminish that from happening again.
My Boxster has 298mm front rotors, and radially mounted 4 piston calipers at all 4 corners of the car, and it had no brake fade whatsoever, so I'm not concerned about increasing the rotor size on the Crossfire at all.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
BC.

Re: C32 Brake upgrade
C32 brakes front and rear on my 05 Ltd Coupe, switched to SRT6 wheels for clearance on the front calipers, already had the ss brake lines, use Blue fluid, but I did get the EBC Red pads for the best "bite" when I hit 'em. FANTASTIC braking, have to check the mirrors before you stop too fast. Niece lost her sunglasses when I had her on the track. One gal I had in the car was pretty impressed, told one of our friends that when I hit the brakes "it's the first time I've squealed like that with my clothes on"
