FYI, I had 295 30 19 Contis on my car and went to Pirelli P zero Rosso. They are quite a bit wider than the Contis of the same size! So much so, that I had to go from 20mm spacers to 12mm spacers so they would not rub! I have aftermarket wheels that are 1/2 in. wider than stock.

It is unlikely that one 295mm tire is wider than another 295mm tire, hench the designation. Although your after-market rims are wider, you might also want to verify the off-set as it compares to an OEM rim. Therein might be the cause of your 'rubbing' and the need for spacers.
Keep the rubber on the road.

incorrect
2 different tires of the same size are not physically the same size
differences in the mold, the layers the tire is constructed with all make each tire slightly different.
Im curious as to how bad the rubbing actually is. My crossfire is about to get lowered 2" all the way around. and Im about to pick up some 235/30/18 and 295/30/19 PS2's

Not a big deal, but it can make a difference when fitting a car with tight clearances like the Crossfire. Some tires are nearly 'rectangular' in cross-section, while others are more 'oval' in cross-section. Does that make any sense?
As far as your lowering situation: I wouldn't anticipate any rubbing problems in the rear ('cept for those monster speed bumps!). But if you are using a 'squarisih' tire up front like the PS2's apparently are, watch the rear-ward fender well with the outside tread at full turn lock; and the upper control arm (I think it's called that) nut with the inside tread at full turn lock. This all assumes OEM rims. I'm running 255/40R18's up front and don't have any real problems except some minor rubbing on the rear-ward fender-well. Also running 275/30R19 in the rear; no problem. There's a pic somewhere in the gallery of a guy wearing 295/20R20's in the back. Looks scary.
Your 235/30's and 295/30's are gonna' look great. Keep in mind your headlights might aim just a whisker low.
Good luck.

are you at stock ride height?
my goal is for the crossfire to tuck at least some tire. front and rear, i have a fender roller so thats not an issue, im more worried about the front rubbing at full lock.

Regards.
PS: it's best if you do this while parked.

yea, i understand, i drift this car, so most time is spent at full lock
i can roll or even flare the fenders if i have to, so thats not the problem, its just the inner fenderwells im worried about
i might back it down to a 285 30 just in case, but i dont see any problems with a 235 40,

Dwightdmagee is correct. the Conti's I had were "squarish" and the Pirelli's have a VERY round sidewall. I first encountered rubbing issues on the INSIDE of the wheel well. I corrected that with a mallet and 20mm spacers! Once I put the Pirelli's on, they rubbed on the outside of the fender. Rolling the fender is not going to be easy, it is very thick, double walled steel. I had to go to 12mm spacers and now they rub on the inside again! Modding the inner wheel well would seem to be the easier way to go.
Please keep in mind that my car is lowered and has 1/2 in. wider rims.

This pic is with the Conti's ( no spacers yet )
