DOT 4 Plus...
While doing my oil change this morning I noticed my brake level was a little low in the resevoir. After going to AutoZone and NOT finding a DOT 4+, with the correct boiling point, I had to go all the way to downtown OKC to the ONLY M-B dealer in town to buy a 1 L bottle @ $25.47 just to top off my brakes!
Is there somewhere else to get our "SPECIAL" DOT 4+ brake fluid other than at the "stealerships"?
Sorry about the rant, just hate driving in OKC. Thanks for any heads up.

If you had to add fluid, have you checked the pad thickness for the brakes? They might be getting thin and this would explain where the fluid went...
Boiling point ranges
Dry boiling pointWet boiling point
DOT 3
205°C (401°F)
140°C (284°F)
DOT 4
230°C (446°F)
155°C (311°F)
DOT 5
260°C (500°F)
180°C (356°F)
DOT 5.1
270°C (518°F)
191°C ( 376°F)
DOT 4 only goes to 446°
Manual sez:
Use brake fluid approved to MB331.0, or a DOT 4 brake fluid with: minimum dry boiling point (ERBP) 500°F
That's strange!

My old eyes played a trick on me, poured some fluid in and promptly over filled the resavoir. If I had only shaken the thing first I would have seen where the fluid actually was, DOHH!Live and learn.
P.S.- had to suck out the extra fluid, NOT FUN!
You should just use Motul RBF600. Check it out here: Discount Motul 600 Brake Fluid - RaceShopper.com
I use this stuff to track my corrado and I also buy it from these guys. I've never had a problem. I used to use ATE Superblue, but I heard bad things about the blue dye and the various seals inside the brake system. So now it's exclusively Motul. I'll probably use this stuff when I change out the fluid in the crossfire. Though I think it's a bit overkill on a car only driven on the street--or even autocross.

Using DOT 5 in a DOT 3 or DOT 4 system without proper flushing will cause damage to the seals and cause brake failure. DOT 5 brake fluid is not compatible with anti-lock brake systems.
News to me.
