they are a race pad, rough braking and squealing are normal. The pads are metallic, not organic. Get used to it or get new pads.

Not true at all.

white04XF, what rotors did you get? As far as the rotex pads, did you use anti-squeal on the back of the pads and did you do a proper bedding-in of the pads?

I have had rotex pads on mine for over 32K and have never had the first squeal or grabbing brakes. They are just as good, if not a little better, than the factory pads without the dust.

I would recommend taking them out, using the anti-squeal as directed, and then bed them in using whatever method you feel comfortable doing. A google search will give you any number of methods to bed your pads. It works.

discovered that the right front rotor was warped, that is what was causing the rough braking. I'm going to put some stop squeal on them when I get a chance, the guy that did the work looked at me like a dumbass.

Default help with grabbing rotex gold brake pads

Hi,
I too feel like the new front brakes (rotex gold) are grabbing as well..What is the problem..is it a brake problem or installation issue..I had the Chrysler Crosssfire tech put them in..can he adjust them? I only have a 1000 miles maybe less on the pads. I was hoping they would soften up..

Did he surface the rotors before installing the new pads ? Did he clean and lube the calipers where the pads ride ? Did he burn in the new pads ?
There is no brake adjustment except on the parking brakes.
