Mercedes CLK320 16" Wheels and Tires $100 on Ebay - Set of 4
Ok, I have been watching this as it has the potential to be a great deal. I contacted the seller about shipping costs to Georgia, and he quoted me $280, which is BS, but ohhh well. These wheels are located in Cheyenne Wyoming, so if anyone is near there, this is a great opportunity to get some 13lb drag wheels. I wish that I could take advantage of this but since I cannot, I wanted to pass this on to others, Good Luck.

moparburst has these on his srt-6. see thread https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...-lbs-fury.html
From Moparburststhread:
Finally bolted the wheels up today to double check clearance............all went well and they look very mean. No spacer needed..............but I do need to get very short ball type lug bolts.

And, thanks to 32Krazy, I have a pair of these that he came across coming to me. I can't wait to get my hands on these 13lb beauties. Should be at the track with them by the end of the month if weather warms up a little.
blah. $280 for shipping, that is a bit ridiculous....
i'd love to pick these up...
even if two people go together on this you would basically be looking at $190 for two drag rims... (100+280 / 2)
$190 would be a good price for 13lb rims.... just saying.

I was hoping that someone from the northern Colorado or Southern Wyoming area could use them, and just pick them up. I used to live in Colorado Springs, and would have gone to get them for that price.

That could still be a steal of a deal on a set of 4 if someone lives close enough to pick them up. I thought someone from Colorado/Wyoming area would be all over this.
They are only 7 inches wide, what is possible on such a small width rim????
And 16" but what is the height, is there a real benefit for such a small rim / ratio gain????

255/50-16 is the tire being used on this rim. seems to be plenty wide and the grip is amazing from what i have been told. i will find out shortly! tall sidewall allows low air pressure and massive grip on launches
And don't forget.... these things are 13lbs each. What is it they say. 1 lb of rotational weight is like 20lbs of body weight. I think the average wheel is what... about 28lbs. That is a savings of 30lbs for 2 wheels. So that is like removing 600lbs of weight from the car. Sounds pretty good to me. Now someone smarter than me can come in here an clarify/correct anything that I just said that is not correct. I am going by what I have read in here in the past, and none of this is from any personal knowledge.
Another thing that I will probably get wrong, but I believe that the Voxx 7.5 X 17" wheels that many are using for DRs are somewhere around 22lbs. So, that would still be a savings of 18lbs or 360lbs of body weight.
Am I totally off base here?

My VOXX MG's with MT 275/40-17 are 55# each.
I wouldn't mind getting a set of wheels that are that much lighter....
hmmmmmm.... I could have my father-in-law in Laramie pick them up and then ship them to me.....
edit: just remembered... they had 5 feet of snow last time I talked to him...

And Moparburst's weight in at 37lbs. Wow, that would be a total of 36lbs of rotational weight savings on your drive wheels. That is some massive savings.

Hmm... VERY tempting except for the shipping costs. If it wasn't for the shipping I would have already bid. I wonder if I could convince him to have the tires removed and discard before shipping...?
Here's a place that has those rims for $190 each.

someone jumped in at the last couple minutes. bid ended at 210.50 for the wheels hope they got a better shipping deal!
