painting N/A center caps??
painting N/A center caps??
I searched the forums, and came up with a few results, and got some ideas, but still had a question...
My center caps are all peeling, pretty bad. I have decided I am going to remove the faded and tarnished looking Chrysler emblems and leaving them solid silver.
I liked the modifications made to these wheels here, 2004 Chrysler Crossfire - Reproduction Center Caps as Found on Stoddard Prototype
but dont think I will go that far. maybe just the small hole in the center of the cap with out the hex bolt.
My question is..
What should I use to repaint the wheels center caps?
Maybe sand them down and start from scratch? All 4 are peeling pretty bad.

In your post, you suggested that your wheels were "peeling pretty bad".
If it is just the plastic center caps, I have had good luck painting plastic with Rust-oleum. Good luck on matching the silver, though. As for the center bolt, maybe a button head cap screw?

Stainless, but paint-able.
