I bought a set of wheels a few months ago with the sensors in them. Is there a way to tell what year the wheels are?

I have OEM Crossfire sensors in my SL550 wheels. My sensors are not the sensors that came with my car. I had them "pinged" at the a tire shop but they are not communicating with my car. I believe that that I have to go to a Chrysler dealer and have them programed to the car using their DRBIII diagnostic system.

If the rims have no tires on them you should see a part number for the sensors.
I guess you have tires on so if they are OEM tires the best guess you have is to look at the tire manufacturing date.

Just as information... I recently purchased new tires, wheels and TMPS sensors at Discount Tire. I had to go to the local Chrysler dealership to have the sensors retrained (programed ) to the car. Discount did not have the software to program them. I was not sure that after market sensors would work on the Crossfire before I purchased the new sensors at Discount Tire, but so far they are working great.
There are 2 types of TPMS sensors used on all the cars around the world. On is the Siemens style and the other is the Schrader style. I know our TPMS tool will communicate with both as for calibrating them.
