Default AMG SL55 Rim installed.

hi Guys,

A while ago i installed the Rim from the SL55 and I have 225/40/18 & 285/35/18 tires. Toying with the idea of lowering the car but remembered the shop that did the swop for me suggested not to lower the car as it will rub... Can anyone suggest what i can do to get the "look"?

If anyone thinking of doing the same thing, you will need to shorten all the screws. The one that came with the SL55 wil not fit.

cheers

Eddy

To get the "Look", you are going to need to lower the suspension and move the wheels out to be flush with the body line using hub centric spacers. For lowering, you can go with Eibach, K&N, or buy a set of stock SRT springs and cut them. The best price for hub centric spacers will most likely be from here. Thank you! you reckon it will rub with the 285/35 tires?

You should be able to eliminate any rub with the combination of springs, spring pads, and spacers. Going with SRT springs might be your best option as you can control the amount of drop.
