Default Swapping Original Pads for Dustless (Rotex Gold)...

I'm looking to upgrade my stock rims and figured it probably made sense to also go with dustless brake pads (Rotex Gold).

As I only have 13k original miles on the existing rotors, do you think I could get by with a simple swap out of the original pads, without replacing (or taking down the existing rotors).

I know I'll have to do a visual on the existing rotors, and a touchy/feely for bumps or anomalies.

Assuming they look okay, would you recommend a straight swap of the pads at this mileage, or go the extra mile and do the rotors.

Comments welcomed...

Thanx...

~ you will be fine to simply install the rotex pads and drive as normal... there should be no issues with the low mileage and sight rotor wear.

I agree with Andrew's feedback above. There shouldn't be any need to have the rotors dressed or turned with only 13k mileage unless you see something visually. These OEM Mercedes-Benz rotors aren't subject to warping like low-end OEM rotors.

I have a 1993 Suzuki Swift GT and had to have the rotors turned about 20k as the heat generated during braking warped the factory OEM rotors. Brake pedal shook something awful around that wear point. Replaced these with some I bought from RockAuto and the problem went away.
