Default Is there a dust cap puller?

Hi Crossfire fans. My first time posting, am enjoying all the great info on this forum. Is there a particular trick or tool required to pull the front wheel dust cap? Need to replace the bearings and can't seem to be able to pull the darn things off. I've got a 2005 with ~50k on it and I bet they have never been pulled - are a bit rusty at the point of contact. Thanks for any input - Martin

You may want to replace the dust cover with the bearing. If so, channel locks or vise grips will get it off.

Thanks for your quick reply! I already poked a hole in one of them, trying to punch it off with a screw driver.

Very common!!! And no there is not a dust cap puller! So rip em' off and get some new ones! Make sure to grease the new ones before install...as they rust along the hub.
