Default New Tires

Hello everyone. Just purchased my first crossfire. A 2004 coupe. Need to replace the tires and I was thinking of Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110. Anyone have these tires? Looking for low road noise and good grip. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Several of us have gone with the Hankook tires. I'm very happy with mine. Been running with them for a year and a half now.

Toyo Proxies T1R would be my recommendation as an alternative to the stock Michelin PS2 tires. They were a little more expensive than I was looking to spend (came to around $1100 shipped).

I took these on the Tail of the Dragon in the pouring rain and they handled everything I threw at them. Didn't fish tail or lose any sort of control during the whole time.

primarily cost versus wear. I just got my Conti DWS's on this weekend. hellacious rain this morning, heavy water, and NO hydroplaning, great stick to the road. Much lower roadnoise than the Conti OEM's and total intalled price was 950. They also are one of the few UHP tires that have a 50K warranty, and the dealer said Conti is good about the prorated wear. Apparently they understand that if you have the UHP's you've got a car that you'll use that feature from "time to time". The Hankooks though for summer are also a very good tire. I just needed more of an all season for my weather conditions.

Because they're brand new and there aren't many reviews out yet. That being said, I would've bought the Super Sports if they were available in the right size when I was shopping for tires last month.

If you don't deal with any snow, the Continental ExtremeContact DW's are about as it gets right now for summer tires. I bought a set of those for $900 installed and I couldn't be happier with them. They're superb tires on the street and I'm looking forward to tracking them in a couple weeks.

Ok. Regarding super sports Looks like they are available in stock sizes at tirerack. In Europe I can not find any fronts so will have to import.

I am not sure if you can get these for stock wheels, But i am running Yokohama Adva S4's. they have a very high mileage rating, seem to last forever, as quiet as the day I bought them, and are reasonably priced. the worst tires I have run were PS2's and Nitto's, Thye were good new, but didn't last long and cuppep which made it hard to have a conversation in the car.
