Was just giving more imput as to other experience from xfire owners, i have been tru 3 sets of tires
& so far these have been the best, didnt mean to rain on anyones parade,
just sharing info.

 

Please let me know what you think....? Those are the tires that just got released correct? I love love love michelins and have had great luck with them!

To be honest, as I did not have time to drive the SRT with the Pilot sports 1 or 2 (oem on a 05?)
I can only compare them with my winter tires. Or compare them to my old tires used with my old N/A. So the comparision will be bad. What I can do is to give my verdict. But I guess as they are said to be much better than the PS2 I will be most satisifed.
I have let refurbished the wheels.. so I am just waiting for the tires...

 

No offense but if these are the best tires you have run on the Crossfire you have been purchasing the wrong tires. They are a good tire for the money but do not compare to the Advan AD07, AD08, Michelin Pilot PS2, etc.

The traction on the hankooks also seems to be getting worse as they age. On a positive note they are fairly cheap and have a long life.

Looking forward to a report on the Pilot Super Sports.

 

Agreed....hankooks are a cheap alternative tire....there is a reason why Michelin has more auto manufacturing tire contracts than anyone else in the world! Id say most high end cars come stock with michelin ps2 tires over any other tire made!

 

Let us know what you think after you get some mileage on the Super Sports.

 

I do not dispute the tire difference, or possible quality, i am very happy for your michelin purchase & look forward to your thoughts, the hankooks are a cheaper alternative depending on your chose, i went with the 700 tread 100,00 mile which is a significant upgrade, also in the last 2 yrs i have averaged only 4100 miles on the car, i feel this was also a determining factor on my choice, besides the fact they are super quite and smoother on the ride. Again congrats.

 

I've never seen a tire get so much press. I mean tire rack has been blowing these things up and the forums have been abuzz too. I'm sure you'll be impressed. Too much buck for my bang though

 

Hi all,

I will get them on the 23rd so fingers crossed they are fine. Picking up my rejuvenated alloys then aswell. No brake dust nor scratches. They will be balance and also checked whether any cracks. The first testdrive will be paramount!

They are now in indianapolis, IN.. Fedex

 

They are about to be in my garage, which fedex facility is that exactly...

 

It says that they are in transit and being delivered to someone in indianapolis. They said it was a nice guy with a nice car who came by and gave them a new address for final destination. Guilty?

 

Its an excellent tire. Enjoy them.

I guess the sports are brand new model from 2011? If you search for them on flickr you see their promotion party in Dubai with a lot of cars.

 

Guilty as charged, those are indeed some nice tires.

Did you decide if you are going to paint the SRT white?
