I am sorry, didn't mean to hyjack your thread, I think Les is helping me out with my questions here.

From what I have read and understand above, the +20mm offset on a 9.5" wide rim will work without spacers and will give you 7mm outside and 3mm inside wider than stock (if using a 265 tire).

So I can get an 8 in rim with a 32mm offset. How big of a lip would I end up with

The lip can vary widely. Anywhere from 0 to 2 inches, maybe more. It depends on the spoke shape. My wheels, for instance, have a convex shape so there is a small lip. Other wheels I was considering (see my gallery) have straight spokes and thus have very little lip. Call the retailer/manufacturer of the wheel, they should have some data they can share.

Back you will want a spacer.
I don't think a 9.5 -40 will work to well on front.
What size of tire are you thinking of?
I run a 235/275

A 30 offset is perfect for any width rim. A 245 fits but if you go 255 and are lowered you'll need to roll the fenders.

Are you sure that you want to upset the balance running 19's up front? I think you might run into some clearance issues.

Nope I have 19x8.5 up front and 20x10 in the rear. Rides better now than it did with the stocks....nice and smooth even on rough roads.
