Default TPMS sensors

I will be replacing all 4 TPMS sensors when I get new tires next week. Does anybody know how to set them up in a 2004 Crossfire?

Already have a price for the new TPMS? I've got an 04 and know this is around the corner if I dont disable or otherwise..
The organge TPMS would have been a good deal if they hadn't closed up US shop and sold to Japan..
Found these on Amazon is why I ask price.. And warning.. locate programming before purchase if you think this is a better deal! History doesn't need to repeat itself!

Amazon.com: Schrader 33100 EZ-sensor Programmable - 433 MHz: Automotive Amazon.com: Schrader 33100 EZ-sensor Programmable - 433 MHz: Automotive
It looks like the 04 is 433 MHZ and other models are 315 MHZ

Edit for future reference.. programming tool information..

That is a Schrader part number and the specs say it fits 2005's NA's and SRT's but be very careful, parts may lap years and so may fit some 2004's or 2006's or possibly not fit all 2005's you have to see what is in your car now. It depends on what was in the parts bin when those wheels went on a car.

If they made 3,173 2005 cars I doubt the TPMS purchase order said 3,173 of that type.

They have definately made this a PITA for anyone who doesn't want to just go to the dealer and say "fix it"...

OEM Part No. 52088990AC this is what was in my 2005 and the 20028 worked. so you need to find out which sensors where put in your car.thx 180

DO YOUR RESEARCH. I bought some orange electronic ones, was a good adiea at the time, but they don't work even after numerous trips and attempts by both the dealer and discount tire. Go OEM and make someone responsible/liable for them, ie; don't buy them on-line and have someone else install them.

Probably cost you more.. but at least you can CYOA this way.. maybe one of these days we'll get it figured out with a reasonable cost alternative !

Where these programed at the dealer or a tire store? Tire stores should be able to do the job if they are selling them.
But they must be the correct Schrader part to jive with the cars receiver.

only the dealer can program these.you have to get into the tpms computer on the car with a drb or starscan and you use a magnet to program them
car quest is a parts store not a tire dealer

If you buy the part from a parts store then I doubt they have the ability to program them. These parts are available to tire stores and a programing tool is available to them to buy and use.
With the growing need for replacement sensors they are jumping into the market. Why would they sell you tires with fitted sensors in the rims and then tell you to go to the dealer when they could make more money with the whole package.

You just have to know what sensor you currently have and get one that is on the same frequency. The receiver in the car is waiting for the signal, it's dumb it will act on the signal and turn the light on if warranted.

Schrader made some of the TPMS sensors in our cars, they should know how to do it, these EZsensors are meant to replace the majority of the OEM sensors with just a few models. If the receiver does not work with the new sensors then the wrong part is in the wheels.
The dealer is not wanting these new sensors as their ones cost twice the price and it is basically the same part.

You must buy the correct model of the EZsensor and it must be programed correctly.

Or with the proper tool.. read the ID of the individual TPMS sensors and with the EZ sensors you then program them to theses ID's.. They actually have a pad you set the new one on interfaced via usb to a computer.

BTC-WRTPAD1 Bartec TPMS Pad - tooldesk.com

I'm starting to think it might be a good idea to try to find a tire store that can pull the ID's from the sensors.. save that because when the sensor dies then the dealer will be the only way to get it reset to a new one.

New ebay listing on Orange sensors...

Please call Toll Free, 1.866.273.3651, to speak to one of our technicians about fitment.

Might be worth dropping a dime on..

I think the Bartech and Schrader hand held scanners can detect and identify a dead, weak or otherwise faulty sensor. At least that what is says in their literature. They say that the tire installer should test the sensors before touching the old tires and inform the customer if anything is wrong with the sensors. This is to avoid the customer blaming them if there is a problem after the tires are installed, that makes sense to me.

This is not rocket science, lets face it, if it was hard the dealers could not do it. There is no need to run to the dealer if you deal with a properly equipped tire dealer.

I had all four sensors replaced when I got my new tires. I had to go to the dealer to have them programed. Went to Advantage Chrysler in Mount Dora, Fl. It took less than a minute to program all four. I also had the Transmission fluid and filter replaced. they also had to replace the wiring harness do to a fluid leak. The total cost was $419. I think that was fair. That dealer has a mech that does all the Crossfires and Vipers. He is very good.

The car has been in storage for 3 months and the clod final got to the tire pressure. refilled all for tires to speck, but the sensor light is still lit on the dash. What does it take to shut it off after tire refill?

Maybe they have to be driven around the block, some say yes and some say no.

Now this almost has me wondering if they don't have a "sleep mode" per say.. several times I've pulled in to the station.. added a splash of air because the monitor was lit.. and light would be out before ever pulling out again..
