No mods for me with this car. I modded everything on my other car including adding a turbo.

My car tires are stock front and 275/30/19 rear w/o causing ESP issues. Here's a tire calculator that can be usefull to ppl concerned with keeping speedometer accuracy, OE diameter and ESP happy!:

Tire Size Calculator - Compare Tire Sizes

By first entering the OE size and then an alternate size, you can better visualize what change it will have on your car. If you want to go wider in the back while keeping the same diameter, size 285/30/19 is a close match

A bit less power, sure, but once you get the car rolling I'd think that just keeping it in a lower gear a bit longer compensates - it's why the car has a stick in it!

Anyway, from this, I believe the speedo to be driven by the sensors in the front wheels... am I right?

I dont know but my guess is, like most cars, speed is calculated with trany output shaft speed sensor. Therefore, your actual physical speed will be altered when you change tire diameter on the driven wheels only

I can't remember if I went with 285 or 275/30/19's on the last set of tires I bought. Got the width, but it didn't cause a descrepancy in my speedometer because they were very close to the factory original tires diameter, (as Turbomar pointed out). I had a blow out in New Mexico coming home from the Crossfire GTG in Colorado 2 years ago, and had to be flat bedded 115 miles to Texas to the closest tire store that had tires to fit the Crossfire. Unfortunately, I had to buy two rear tires, that were 255/35/19's because they didn't have the larger size in stock that would have matched my other rear tire.
Enlarging a tire's diameter by as little as an inch will make a 3.27 gear perform more like a 3.07.
Yes it will get slightly better gas mileage, but that's what my "Honda" is for.

Got the g-max tires installed on the car last week. Decided to stay with stock size all the way around. Seem to be very nice tires, quiet, steering response is good at 36psi. I will give some feedback after a few thousand miles.

Congrats on your new tires, just as a side note. I'm running 295/30-19 Michelin Super Sport on a set of Enkei RP-F1 10x19 without any issues.

Have a nice one

285 19's Michelin Super Sports on the rear of the roaster currently. I needed the bigger tire for better grip.
