Body ROLL be gone?

Default Body ROLL be gone?

Just put Koni's and Eibach "lowering" springs on and still have way, way way way (that is 4 way's) too much body roll.. Ideas?

I have K&W Variant II's and still have too much roll and dive for my liking. I believe heavier sway bars would help quite a bit but mismatch them and the car could become evil in the corners. Not knowing how to figure what would be best I'm leaving things alone until Ground Control releases their Crossfire suspension parts in the near future. BTW, the Eibachs for the Crossfire .... appearance/comfort springs. (IMO)

I just asked Eibach if they have a set of "real" springs for the car. Konis were set to the firmest they go but I think its in the springs.

The OEM SRT6 springs are firmer than the Eibachs, take them out and cut the factory ones down. Les is waiting for the single largest/best upgrade to our platform in terms of suspension that has ever been introduced. Hustler316 has been working with them on this project from what I hear.

I added polyurethane bushings to the rear sway bar and could tell any difference. I think my driver side adjustable Koni is blown after only 1 year. I am waiting on the Ground Control system too.

All my car enthusiast have bashed Eibach springs, they are more for show if you want actual handling then you go H&R. I've been waiting to get springs for a while. The roads here are so horrible though I think I should wait until I'm back in the states.

I can't bash Eibach because I know they make great springs. The problem is they only make one set for the Crossfire while for more popular cars they make 3. And the Crossfire springs are exactly what they decided most Crossfire owners would want. Nice drop and comfortable ride. Let's just agree that Eibach decided the maket was too small for true high performance springs for Crossfires. If I'm not mistaken, and I don't believe I am, the K&W springs are made by H&R to K&W's specs and the shocks were made by Koni until recently. Makes you scratch, doesn't it?

This is disconcerting! I really like the way my car handles stock. It has a bunch of miles on it, and I am assuming that going with performance parts should improve the ride. After quite a bit of reading and searching, I have found folks that say the KYB-Eibach combo gives the most for the least amount of $. I have my springs now, and waiting on the KYB's from europe. I am tempted to use bilstein's instead because I am tired of waiting but now I am wondering, is lowering the crossfire the smartest thing to do? Would I be better off with just doing the shocks and leave the height where it is if I am looking to have the car perform 1/2 way decent without potentially burning through tires unless I add $800 is camber kits for the front and back.

Im itching to drop the car, but I'll be pissed if it handles like crap when I do. Also, how is it that some folks get their car in spec with the 1.2 drop and some folks can't come close, even with the kmacs! I can get my springs installed for about $80. I think I am going to try just doing the springs, letting the car settle, then adding some kind of camber kit. Maybe the NW style front camber bolts, and the SPC rears with the "tool" unless I can find out more about this ground control set up. I pray I can get the car aligned (at the Audi Dealership that I work at) and be lowered and in spec for about $600. Hopefully I won't have issues with clearance (like I've also been reading about) and can later do the shocks. (Kyb's on back order until 2019) (jk) Kills me to spend more on a camber kit than I will on shocks! I wouldn't be able to like with myself if I paid thoursands to do Kll variants and still was bitching about body roll and a crappy ride. There needs to be an easier way on a platform thats been around as long as the Merc/xfire has! "Ground Control to Major Tom"

I was planing on H&R springs to try and keep the performance while lowering... now I'm waiting to see what comes out of Ground Control
