Default brakes questions

2005 Roadster Limited 26,000 miles

The brakes seem to work ok, but the pedal travel does not seem right. Any suggestions?
thanks

Have the brake hoses been replaced? When they get old they expand easier under pressure and can cause a soft pedal.
Also as Mark stated, flushing and replacing the brake fluid is important.

I would inspect the brakes, change hoses ( optional) , bleed wheel cylinders & completely replace all the brake fluid. If you have a manual transmission also bleed the clutch slave as it uses the same brake fluid in the master cylinder. Stop Tech Braided Stainless brake hose available at Amazon : part # front 950.35001 rear 950.35500

I use a Schwaben brake bleeder https://www.ecstuning.com/b-schwaben.../007311sch01a/
In the kit, it has an adapter that fits the master cylinder. I have used this for years and find that it works well and my wife is not coming out to the garage so this is just as good.
I will state that I have a Quick Jack that makes it easy as I remove all four wheels and then I can move from corner to corner easier.

And as others have said it's worth replacing the brake lines with SS lines. https://www.buybrakes.com/2003-merce...brake-line-kit
