Need some old inop TPMS sensors
Anyone care to donate a set of old replaced TPMS sensors ?
I'll gladly pay shipping via paypal.
I need these for a set of SE wheels I am going to have reconditioned ( someday ) that
came without them.
Problem is, all the OEM wheels were manufactured with the weight of the TPMS sensor in mind. If you don't have them, then the balance technician has to install a huge glob of stick on weights to compensate, and I don't want that.
PM me with your paypal and shipping costs please.

Hi George, I'll have some for you in about a month. I'm replacing all the TPMS units in my fleet of SRT8s as they are starting to go dead. I expect to see those SE wheels on your car at CAA 6!

I can't seem to find anyone around here that can refinish them.
I tried myself on one wheel, and after 3-4 hours wasted labor it looks like crap.

It is a common battery size, they are inserted and then a epoxy is poured around them.
How hard can it be?
Thanks, Dave.
Worth a shot if I can get my hands on some old ones.
Believe it or not, the ones that came with the car are still working fine.

Arado chipped out the potting material and exposed the battery but said it was too much bother and left it there. Being the type who hates to scrap something that is serviceable like yourself, mind you I took off a perfectly good siren and replaced it with the beeper, I thought that it was worth the try to fix them if at all possible.
I think the secret will be not to do any damage to them by going at the battery area only. After replacing the battery the epoxy needs to be firmly set in place and able to take the environment inside the tire without coming loose.
Here is the post with the info and pics. CLICK
Arados original post was on 08-03-2011, in answer to me mentioning the Corvette TPMS repairs and wondering if it was possible.
