What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Sweet! Good to know when I get opportunity ti do that!
In 1973 I had a Pantera was trying to make it Phoenix, Arizona from L.A Calif. in less than 3 hours was at 154 and 148mph the whole way got caught in traffic into Phoenix or I would have made it, I had all the smog stuff removed and some slight mods. I could drive from San Francisco to L.A. cruise at 135 mph and got 34 miles per gallon. loved that car.

Plastidipped/blacked out my grill today. My grill was pretty weathered/chipped up and I think that the previous owner may have tried to repaint the grill at some point because it looked pretty crappy. I think it turned out great. Best sub-$10 mod I have ever done to any car......lol.

My guess, one of the major oil companies bought it to keep that "modified" desmogged carburetor out of the consumers hands.
it was a company car as I was VP of marketing and loved the Pantera in 1973 the list price was less than $15,000.00
There are plenty of pics of it in my threads as well as in the black Crossfire picture thread. My front and side splitters were custom made for me by a shop that specializes in custom fabrication.
62 degrees today so the car came out and the top came down. Spent about an hour and a half on some of my favorite roads before I put her away. Nothing but 30's and 40's in the long range forecast so this may have been the last top down cruise for quite a while.
Took pic of my repainted engine bay. Next is the new grill that I am fabricating and the new filters for DCAI, plus the new horns. What do you think?
Cracked a rear wheel, waiting for the dealer to get a new one in. Good thing I bought that tire/wheel warranty, this is my second cracked wheel...and I don't even auto-x.
I like it, curious on what type of grille you are making.
DC'Xfire or smfrycruzer .. they have some and do embroidery ... stop in to the forum every now and then.. tell them mrmiata sent you.. LOL..

Yesterday it was what the Crossfire did for me. Beautiful day in Northern Virginia. Dropped the top and went for a ride from Burke, Va to Marshall, Va for breakfast at the Marshall Diner. Continued on to Naked Mountain Winery near Markham, Va for an afternoon of wine and relaxation. Return home about 4PM. Maybe one of the last days the weather will support dropping the top.
I am using some mesh grill material I found online and I am making a crossbar out of HDPE. I bought a 6x24 x2 block from U.S.Plastics which will also do the cannards I am making. It is something like the MB grills, but instead of the circular MB star I am using the lower half of an oval to better accent the wing and Xfire emblem on the hood. Since the mesh has a very high % of pass through for air flow you also can see through it, that;s why I am using the Edelbrock blue filters and chrome horns and polishing the elbows of the DCAI. I'll post a pic when I have it done.
Today I installed the cup holder in my car. Big thanks to James1549 who posted pictures of his installation on top of the pouch behind the two seats as described on the bottom of this thread https://www.crossfireforum.org/galle...1189/cup06.jpg
Cup holder cost 2 bucks and is worth all that money. I take my Crossfire on long distance trips with my girlfriend or buddy and both always complain about the lack of a cup holder to at least store a bottle of water.
So now, they can do that and when I ask for my drink it's always easy for the passenger to reach behind her/him and hand it to me. I think this is a great spot and even though I was going to install one in the ashtray I finally opted out as I am too scared a spilled drink would ruin the electronics.
Also ordered an OBD2 bluetooth adapter to go with Torque. Now I need to figure out the best option and location for a cell phone holder in our cars. I wonder if there is a holder that will also charge the phone at the same time (Samsung Galaxy S5) ??

I've done that run before- truly amazing. Now it's 40 degrees outside and no dropping the top for awhile

Replaced my 06 roadster's fob case with one from Amazon. PITA - and noted in the product reviews.
