What did you do to your Crossfire today?
It cost me $150 for my 2004. Look for body hardware > hood > hood & components > support rod.
Coated convertible top with protective coating just because it's a 6 month old top and I don't know what they do at the factory!
Also found tree sap after I just clayed the car last week! Will give her a good bath tomorrow!
Going to have my headlights redone next week not happy with coating from last year!
But we did get her out today wonderful top down weather

I didn't do nothing to the car today. Buy yesterday I managed to replace the belt, belt tensioner and idler pulley - no more rattling noises!
I don't think I will have time to do a detail before the Dragon - but I'm going anyway - better at the Dragon with a not-freshly-detailed car than laying in a hospital during a Dragon !

You make a good point - we need to set something up that we can meet up somewhere, we aren't very far apart.
Definitely not, always up for meeting another owner
I moved the Crossfire to the storage unit that I keep my other car in and brought that car to the house. There is a show next Saturday that I want to take the other car to and I want to do some detailing on it this week. I am still waiting on the two front tires that I ordered a while back, If they don't show up this week I am probably out of the Dragon. I talked to the place Friday and they assured me that they will ship Monday and should be here Thursday or Friday. If that's the case I will get them mounted Saturday or Monday and be ready to go. Took the Daytona to a show yesterday evening and found this.

It had a for sale sign on it, $15,000, 15,000 miles. The car looked straight, clean and well cared for. I wondered by a few times and the owner was busy talking to others every time and I never got a chance to meet him.

Replaced my CPS on Saturday.. and by replaced I mean I spent an hour fidgeting with the thing and then just drove it down the street to a shop and gave the guy $20 to replace it for me... work smarter not harder, gentlemen
Installed new front Akebono EUR853 EURO Ultra-Premium Ceramic Brake Pads. The previous dust slinging semi metallic as new pads installed by the dealer I bought the car from destroyed the five star paint job I did on the wheels, really pizzed me off. New ceramic pads have 110 miles on them so far and no dust at all, we'll see. Stops on a dime and no change in pedal feel. $43 bux to my door from Amazon with a 10 buck gift card applied.

BoilerUpXFire, I guess "destroyed" was a poor choice of words.
How about heavily discolored instead. I used Duplicolor HyperSilver paint
on the wheels, basically a base coat clear coat. The rear wheels still look new
the fronts turned grey/black in no time at all. I did clean the fronts when I had
them off with the hottest soap I had in stock, automatic dishwasher soap, great
for engine blocks etc., but didn't phase the brake dust.
I will invest in IronX to see if it will remove the dust. The paint is not burnt just
ugly black. Don't know what the previous pads were but were marked Germany.

If brake dust destroyed a paint job, something was obviously not right. If it was an issue of getting the brake dust off, use a GOOD brake dust cleaner and the dust will literally hose off, even if it is baked on for years. Use IronX, expensive stuff, but well worth it
I never bothered to clean the wheels on our old Chrysler 300 too much and the brake dust was caked on the insides of the rims. I cleaned them when it came time to sell the car and using a brake dust cleaner they came up just like new, no stains or damage at all.
I use Sonax Full Effect wheel cleaner and it works really well.
It smells awful, though (like perm chemicals, apparently, because it's based on the same compound).
Goes on green, turns a crazy blood color, and washes off clean. Unless your wheels are incredibly dirty it'll come off with just a high pressure spray, without even needing a brush.

I would call it a dead match in color, in fact the wheels looked great till the fronts sooted up. I will go to the zone tomorrow to get some type of brake dust remover.
The DupliColor Hyper Silver comes in a kit in a box. I got it at O'reillys on sale can't remember the cost but wasn't bad. Kit contains one can of silver and one can of clear coat. I bought two kits one for front and one for rears. Ran a little close on the clear coat but had enough to finish. I was really pleased with the outcome.
