A couple weeks ago at our Crossfire fun in the Ozarks event we had a "Tech Day"
I had my idler pulley and serpentine belt replaced.
I also had a fan mod installed which is a toggle switch that you can use to manually turn on the cooling fan to run at top speed.
This is for extra cooing of the engine temp while sitting in traffic or parked with the AC on on a hot day.
I also had my new Alpine stereo installed and now wired directly to the existing stock amp to provide the full 4 channel sound our cars are capable of.
The stock stereo and the harness only use 2 channels and even if you install a replacement stereo if you simply use the existing harness you are still only using 2 channels of a 4 channel amp.
Using all 4 channels of the amp provides a much higher quality sound from all the speakers and allows the sub woofers behind the seats to provide much more output.
I have a Roadster and I can here the music fine on the highway with the top down now !!
I highly recommend this particular stereo too
Got our RCM back from DJ and installed it in the car. Hard start issue seems to have gone away but I only started it once so we’ll have to wait and see. Steam cleaned the carpet and seatbelt strap, cleaned and treated leather surfaces with Maguires leather conditioner and vinyl/plastic surfaces with armor all. Treated interior with ozone generator to illuminate odors. Installed intro tech hexa Matt custom rubber floor mats and test fit the window shade previously posted by deep sea 21. There was a 10% off coupon for the shade so I thought I would give it a try. It is a little too wide but it works and the price was hard to beat. I was considering a custom shade for the crossfire but they start at around $40. The LED license plate lights I ordered should arrive tomorrow. Also installed license plate frame but will probably have to remove it since it obscures health of the registration sticker and we don’t want to get pulled over much less be ticketed for it.
I know getting gas is not the event worthy of this thread but I usually get about 24 MPG and have a habit of filling up at 350 miles and put in about 14.5 gallons. Today I noticed that I had driven 390 miles so I gassed up and only put in 12.7 gallons = 30.7 MPG I drove from NH to Boston area twice and was lucky with traffic and drove the speed limit. Other than that I can't account for the difference. Both trips the top was up and I almost always drive topless. Ha Ha. This is the first time in a very long time I drove the car in the rain.

I get around 24+ mpg with my 2007 Coupe. That covers everyday driving which includes both highway & city roadways. But I'll get 26-27 mpg whenever I take it on a trip to a Crossfire event or just a weekend getaway. And that has held true ever since I've owned the car starting in late 2008. And on the highway, I'll be running at least 10% over the posted speed limit; sometimes faster if traffic around me wants to "giddy-up & go"!
Installed new Bosch camshaft and crankshaft position sensor‘s. Had to order a new camshaft position sensor from Amazon since rock auto sent me the wrong part when I had ordered one as a spare several months ago and I didn’t realize it until going to replace it last week. Trying to figure out a hard starting issue. It seems to happen mostly when the engine is warm like a vapor lock but I haven’t found any posts relating to that here. We’ve put on over 500 miles so far this summer but the hard starting issue makes us nervous.
I'd check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Could have a clogged fuel filter or weak fuel pump.
Les
Thanks. I’ll have our mechanic check the fuel pressure. The fuel filter was replaced less than 600 miles ago. The car runs great once started and no problems with acceleration so it seems to be getting fuel but I’ll follow every lead until we figure this out.

These wheels always look really good on a Crossfire. Congrats, Gary.
Those wheels are definitely over the top compared to stock! Beautiful. I know me and I don't have the discipline to keep all those nooks and crannies clean as mine's a daily driver and it doesn't get parked under cover. Man do those look good though.
