Yesterday, because it was overcast but no rain forecast, I used a kit I had purchased from Amazon to clean and waterproof the soft top on my Crosfire roadster in preparation for winter weather.
Today, after soft top has dried and cured, it is covered by dandelion parachute seeds!

ouch… I haven’t treated mine yet but it is garaged no real winter driving.
Looks like a simple contact proximity switch. Gotta look at the 2007 Service Manual & see if my Coupe with the 5-Speed Automatic has the same or similar switch.
On the 2007 it says coupe & convertible but manual trans, so I'm not sure if the autobox cars use the same switch.
I looked in the Service Manual for the 2007 model year. Turns out the Backup Lamp Switch on the automatic transmission is integral to the shift mechanism. Service Manual states it is not repairable nor can it be adjusted. States that the entire shift mechanism has to be replaced! Really!!!

Per your link above, it looks like the Backup Lamp Switch can be replaced. Just means access to it requires gaining access to the shift mechanism beneath the console. Makes me feel somewhat better.

This is why we say stay away from the 'stealerships'...

Somehow, I got something else when I CLICKED on the link the 1st time. Back to having to replace the entire shift mechanism. Hope the switch is a reliable switch! Yeah, Right!
I didn't do a damn thing to my crossfire today! Felt good but soon enough something other than washing it and changing a fluid here or there will 'pop up'... Perma grin!

A beautiful summer evening spent hanging around your car…….with an ice cream cone.
Check this out. This isn't what I did to my XF today but what someone else did to my XF today. My XF is my wife's daily driver (don't even ask how that happened but it did). So she is a teacher and today she comes out after a class and finds this placed on the car. How cool is that? I've never seen one of these little metal toy cars with opening doors and trunk and hood but I guess someone made them at some point and the paint is a perfect match!

Looking at the bottom of this toy... It was made by Motor Max in China. 1:18 size. Guess they made them in all sorts of colors and convertibles too. Pretty cool.
I have a red coupe that says Motor Max on the bottom but is 1:24. Everything opens, the wheels turn and the front wheels are slightly smaller than the rears. Also have the original box.

I bought one and brought it home! It's an '04, Auto, Sapphire Silver Blue Metallic with Black/Black interior. I'm the third owner, and it has 91k miles on it. If you're reading this, person who bought it new in Cali and had it for 14y11m and put 88K on it, thank you for taking such good care of it! It's gorgeous; it wasn't even the color I wanted but I fell in love the second I saw it.

My sentiments exactly Sapphire………”wanting to reach back in time and personally think these folks for taking such good care”
According to car fax, I am the fourth owner having inherited a well cared for piece of machinery. Always a Pennsylvania car, always wintered,
