Wife took it out and came back with the check engine light on? Po 171. Where do you think i should start?
I'd start with changing the fuel filter. Attached page out of 2007 Shop Manual lists possible causes for P0171. I've never had this fault, so others hopefully will chime in that have 1st hand experience.
If you haven't downloaded one of the Service (Shop) Manuals from the website, you really ought to do this so you have one available to review whenever something like this fault pops up. Any of the manuals will do that are listed on the Forum. (Note: If you have a Roadster, you'll need the 2005 or later version. There were no Roadsters in 2004, so it's not covered in that manual.)
Where about's might i find the website to download the Manuel you mentioned? I don’t navigate the site we’ll enough to find it! Sorry
The link ZERACER posted above will give you the 2006 & 2007 Shop Manuals. On that webpage, if you CLICK on the link just below the section on Service Manuals, Parts Lists, Owners Manuals, etc., you will find the Shop Manuals for 2004, 2005, & 2006 listed. I recommend saving (bookmarking) both of these links for future use.

Later,
The 2006 Service manual does not exist on the forum, what you are referring to are Owners Manuals for 2004, 2005 and 2006. The service manuals are listed a few lines below.
The 2004 Service Manual is the easiest to read, the 2005 covers more or less the same info for a Coupe. The 2005 covers the SRT and the roadster, as well and is quite confusing to use compered to the 2004 edition. There is a separate manual for the SRT supercharger and roadster, it is more of a text book for aspiring Crossfire technicians. This manual is out of print for maybe seven years now as is the 'Crossfire Student Reference Book', luckily I have both.
The Student reference book is on the forum in the documentation thread, it is a PDF file. It is with the Service manuals.

How did you get the rear clips to attach?
They seem too small and don't attach like the fronts.
The MGP instruction sheets and videos are generic and NOT Crossfire specific, so they are totally useless.

It would not be unusual that MGP sent the wrong clips for the rear caliper covers. I put a set of these on my 2006 F150 STX way back when & the clips that came with my order were not the ones for the rear of the F150. Go back & tell them you got the wrong clips for the Crossfire.

Unfortunately, we original Crossfire owners and enthusiasts are beginning to fade into the sunset.
I still get the MG/Triumph newsletter emailed to me every month. Now that's a club whose activity has slowed down since the "glory days!" I owned, in this order, a 1980 Triumph TR8, a 1973 MG Midget (came & went during the time I owned the 1980 TR8) and a 1981 Triumph TR8.
An interesting item in this month's newsletter was a complete list of 1963 USA Jaguar dealerships. There were 11 ports of entry/distributorships in North America with Jacksonville, FL shipping Jaguars to FL, GA, AL & the Eastern half of Tennessee. In 1963 the Jag dealership in Jacksonville was at 4846 Philips Hwy, Jacksonville, FL 32207 https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ot...k9fx?entry=ttu
The dealership building is still there. Now it's Otto Marine auto repair shop, but you can easily tell how there used to be a showroom up front with a large repair facility in back. A tight & tidy little dealership. Most USA Jag dealerships way back then had no choice but to also sell MGs, Triumphs (people forget Triumph sold a range of sedans too!), or whatever foreign cars gave them enough volume to survive.
When I bought my XF at the beginning of the year the seller had his little four legged companion with him. The interior plastic shows heavy wear from the little guy too. That and 212k + miles on it I knew I would need to pull the seats and give it a good cleaning, but damn did I not realize how bad.😳 It also gave me a chance to clean and lubricate the tracks.
Aside from tricky wiring harness tho the seats are so easy to pull!
Also the driver's floor mat I thought was shot from lack of cleaning and clutch foot over the year. It was flat and hard.
I started to get the carpet to fluff again after a good scrub and shampoo! Will need another session or two but starting to look better.
.I didn't get a before on passenger side but you could tell the drink spills had been frequent .🤢
Next I'm going to try and restore the plastic parts. Anyone with experience? Will probably pull center console for better working conditions and also clean under it. Good thing someone already broke all the bits for me! 🤦🏽♂️
Anyways thanks for reading. Hope you have a Happy Humpday!

Lots of hard work, persistence, and an and elbow grease. A car just feels better, looks better, smells better when you have accomplished a task like this. Hell…… It even drives better.
You even sit a little higher in the seat - where everyone can see your smile. !!

This morning I was cruising at 50 mph, about 2 miles after leaving my home in my 2005 Limited Roadster, when the engine dies; just stopped running. The panel warnings all lit up. I coasted to a stop and tried to crank. It turned over like normal, but there was no sign of it firing. Since this had happened one time before, about a year ago, I waited about 5 minutes and tried again. It fired, but barely enough to turn over for a few seconds. I tried again a few seconds later and it started just fine, so I drove to my destination, about 5 miles away. When I left to return home, it fired just fine, and ran until I was about 1/8 of a mile from the house where it died again with no warning. The engine would turn over just fine, but would not run. Finally, after a dozen or so attempts, the engine finally ran, though roughly, and I was able to get into my driveway, where it died again. I have not been able to get it to start, after a dozen or so attempts throughout the day. I will check the fuel pump tomorrow morning. Last week I ordered new plugs, plug wires, serpintine belt, and a fuel pump from Needswings so those parts are on hand. I also have a crank position sensor on hand. If anyone knows a good source to have the control module repaired and for a new one, please let me know. If any ideas to get my baby running again, please shout out.
That looks like it could be the old Key Buick location. I purchased an Opel GT 1.9 from them back in 1969. Inflation has been rampant. I think I paid $2,900 for that car and it was a ton of fun. It is amazing what a 102 horsepower would do back then.

Cars were much lighter way back then, especially a tiny Opel GT. There's a channel on Youtube that explains how to adapt a Bosch multi-point fuel-injection system to the early 1970s Opel engine, the type of FI so many European cars used circa 1990.
