159k miles and runs great.
The wide 285's work great on snow / ice Co ered roads, always like more to contact the better and more biting edges, narrow tires do not help when there is nothing g to get down to.
See alot of people do not know the difference in tires, and running summer only tires in winter, and there vehicle is a handful, summer only tires are not good under 40°
similar story, new Tigerpaws on the rear turned my Xfire into a completely different car. I had to get the Summer only Cooper Zeons that were on it when i bought it off of it. Snow and ice are much easier to navigate.
which means that i successfully made it 60+ miles on the interstate on snow covered roads without having to use my wife's ford Focus.

I replaced the broken cup holder with the bin, pricy but worth it. A big thanks to the forum for the Instructions! I’m sure I saved a bundle doing it myself.

Like others before me in this thread, our 2007 XFire Limited Coupe has been an absolute joy to own. We get compliments everywhere we take it. Latest event was at a Coffee & Cars in late JAN. We use the car typically for weekend getaways - trips that represent a day-trip (< 2-3 hrs one-way) or a weekend overnight (>= 3 hrs one-way). And with the wife having retired last year & me working from home for an employer that has an unlimited vacation policy (as long as work isn't impacted), we're starting to take more trips. I know I've posted the attached documents in other threads, but doing them again here is further testament to car's overall reliability & operating costs the 9+ years we've owned it.

While we've driven the car mostly on weekend trips (e.g., ToD GTGs), we have taken the car to visit our youngest son & family in Brownsburg, IN (NW of Indianapolis), to Carlisle, PA for the Chrysler Nationals, to KCMO to visit family, and to CAA events (01 & 08). During all these trips, the car has performed extremely well and been a joy to drive. And owning this car has allowed us to make friends with other owners that have the same passion for the marque like we do. Might be the best ownership success story!

PS: Added pictures of dead pedal I installed, which is an example of things I've done to give the car some improvement w/o impacting that "factory fresh" appearance.

i like the look of the original bin but the price stops me from buying one. so instead I'm playing with this idea for my phone charger.

Qi charger, and foam to hold/charge my phone proof of concept. I just have to get around to figuring out the bin.

There was a question posted about you the other day, have you ever had to do any major engine work ?

No major engine work. The only major work done has been two clutches. Everything else has been done by myself. I recently bought a 2006 roadster and I honestly think the 2005 coupe is stronger than the 06. I have mods on the 05. No internal engine work ever has been done to the engine. I've recently check the compression and it was correct, vacuum check and it check fine. Fuel pressure is fine. If you have seen, I have a thread in ref to the misfires at high speeds. I have not posted the resolution yet, but I think I have found the problem and when I get it fixed I will post it to the thread.

My first 2005 was a Garage Queen with 13,351 miles on it. In the year I owned it, I ran it up to something around 22,000 miles. I then bought a Graphite Roadster with 44,000 and drove it to 116,000 with only two issues:

Sticky key - locked up at a gas station, I knew about the fix but had just bought the car.
CPS went out - engine restarted and I changed the part that evening.

The car was lost in an accident (other driver at fault).

The third car is my present SE. It was a low miles car that had sat a lot. It has needed some TLC, nothing major and it has never let me down or left me stranded.

I will say this: The more the car is driven, the more reliable it is. I am considering selling the truck once I move to Dallas and buying a high miles automatic coupe as a daily driver - the Crossfire would be faster than the truck and people out there drive fast!

YES, you read that right, I'm, actually thinking of buying an AUTOMATIC.

Nooooooo, don't go to the dark side.
but city traffic jams would not burn up the clutch.

Thumbed my Nose @ my Wife today!
she was all proud of her 26.1 MPG in her 2013 Focus.
I drove 293 Miles doing my Courier run.
Springfield toPeoria to Farmington to Pekin, Morton, Peoria for 10 more stops, and off to Normal & Bloomington, finishing up back in Springfield.

26.9 MPG W/the AC Running. 89 Octane Shell mid grade. highway cruising speed 75 mph on cruise.

Need to start putting , at least 91 octane in there..it manufacturer recommend..I run 93 from Shell. You'll notice the difference , especially doing the miles , your doing on the road...
I know gas is expensive ,right now , but you should be writing it off at ¢43 a mile..the government gives an then they take..get yours back every year , make that car, pay for another. 296 miles @ ¢43 a mile is $127.28. Write off the business expense..just a thought...

I have a positive every day
178k miles, runs great.
The great brakes on the XFire have saved me from hitting dear a few times, if I was in my truck, it would have been a complete different story.

The reliability link that 180 shared I think it is funny that the mb slk scored 5 points hight that the crossfire and the mb sl evan higher at 2nd place, maybe if we had bigger motor options we would have been higher on the list

I sold my black mid 10 seconds V8 a few months ago, to a forum member, Droganslayer he is making it faster,,, either way he has the worlds fastest crossfire.

I now have another srt-6 + 2 = V8 crossfire this one is graphite gray. the engine has 42000 miles on it and the car has 179000 on it, with V8 only in it ( oh when we got the car it had limited exhaust on it) and it still ran 11.76, no bad with no mods. the exhaust has been upgraded to 3" into a srt-6 muffler, I also added a fuel pump out of a c class, and a adjustable fuel regulator set at 65lbs. new mods will be upper pulley, crossover intake manifolds, either a 327 or 436 rear gear ratio with a wavetrac,.....
