Go to www.uship.com and you'll get a range of quotes for your shipping needs. They use reputable auto transporters and I've had good luck with there service.

My experience...actually, my buyer's experience. Sold my '65 Vette in June of this year. I'm in Michigan...buyer's in California. Neither of us had any experience prior to this. I have been active on the Corvetteforum.com for 20 years. Very supportive car forum like this one. I did a search there of recommended enclosed carriers and 3 names repeatedly came up. They are: Reliable, Intercity and Thomas Sunday. The buyer got quotes and chose Thomas Sunday. Keep in mind, door to door on this shipment was over 2,500 miles. This was all enclosed trailer quotes. In addition to the car, 2 wooden pallets (3' x 4' each) on wheels of car parts plus 4 mounted wheels/tires were shipped with the Vette. His cost was $2,600. The carrier insured all of this in their quote. The husband/wife driving team were very professional and thorough. They covered each vehicle in the trailer with plastic. Their rig was 85' long bumper to tail. It could hold 7 smaller cars like the Vette and Crossfire. They did a walkaround, noting the condition of the car and took pictures. This protects the shipper as well as the buyer/seller. The buyer was very pleased on arrival of the car.

Do get your quotes on an enclosed trailer. That just minimizes theft/vandalism issues as well as road rash.

Here's some pics of the loading.

Sorry for the large pics.

Regards,
