Default using the creader 319 to diagnose condition of the car

got this:
Amazon Amazon
the purpose is to learn as much as possible of the condition of the car as mentioned in the video.
the videos bring some input but will be of great help the participation of users who have some experience with it.
found these videos: https://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&s...VkCCnIQ4dUDCAw

Phil,

Return that POS! You won't learn anything about the car with THAT, it is simply a code reader - not worthless but not at all what you want.

HERE is THE tool for under $3000 (no, it's not the $3000 one but c'mon, be reasonable!). This is what the guys who are SERIOUS about working on the car are buying. Yes, there are other items out there, but Cliff in Ohio (badcookie here) swears by this device, and I've read his FB posts about what he has done (mostly for others) with it. You should order one today, it is software upgrade able - that means, when improvements are made, you can download the new firmware and it will have upgrades and fixes they have added after you bought it. If you want to snoop into the car's ECU (and apparently even transmission controller), this is the toy/tool to get. I noticed the garage that put my new tires on has at least one of these in the shop, I asked the guy about it, he said, "I can look like a genius with that thing..."

Amazon Amazon

I still have only my BOSCH 1100, but someday I'm getting a CRP123!!!!!! (I just spent $800 on a convertible top, almost $500 on a new fuel pump and filter/regulator, I am done spending for now.)

CAREFUL!

Cliff says to not buy the one he has, right here:
Amazon Amazon

Because it is the earlier version and it is missing some features. IT's a few dollars cheaper but you are cheating yourself.

when i discovered this forum i was under the impression that is intended to help new owners (or owners-to-be) to learn whatever they need. so if ask something that they dont know, they also dont know if has been asked before. and are not prepared to be told that this has been asked before many times, and also that they dont have the right to ask 'why'.
if this is the case, i better will not ask anything anymore. enjoy your knowledge and have fun talking down newcomers.
so long...

I paid $40 more for the pump but $10 less for the filter. I also bought the $174 hose kit and my "$500" includes expenses to get things replaced, George!

No, didn't watch cause I don't care!

I'm just saying, if you want the best reader, and want to be able to really get into the car, you want MORE than an OBDII code reader.
What you have is little more than a code reader, the one Clifford recommends is more of a "real time" display of what is going on - like an Ultragauge but even better.

I only posted that because you said you paid almost $500 for a pump and filter, you didn't say there was any labor or extra parts.
I shuda known better than to correct you.

understood. thank you very much for explaining. if i want the best. but i only want to discuss the 1 i mention and already have-and fulfills my needs. that even tells if all is o k. which is the main thing i want to know. and watching it he tells many valuable things in a simple way, that are easily understood for us newbies that just want to learn what is mentioned there.
and my request is to all those who, like me, already have this 1. no matter if there are others better.
so, lets see how many have this 1 and want to participate in this limited search.
and thanks again for your intention to help, great guy.

at the end of the day, i learned that, even if the videos show lots of things the reader can bring, there is practically no manual.
this is really for some that already know a lot on how to search, but that is not me.
ended up buying another that has a very detailed manual.

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/13...us.html#manual
but, as it is a different subject, will close this and transfer the quest to the other.
see ya there when i start the other1.

I bought the "lesser" model and it is great on all cars I look to buy, I have a "code reader" that I have repacked and will be giving to someone for Christmas later this year. I like the Launch and find it easy to work with and understand. Thanks to George.
