Default Engine emblem

That rectangular hole just behind the hood latch has been bugging me so I used a engine emblem that's perfect to cover it. It's not a oem emblem but it serves the purpose

I have two objections:

1) Crossfire should be plural
2) I did not think the engine qualified as "handcrafted" in the N/As, only in the SRTs. (Am I right or wrong here?)

You are right, NA's are just a hunk of factory metal

I know I’ll get beat up for this but

Although the SRT engine is “hand crafted” it’s still essentially a line assembly engine. The term “handcrafted” is a brilliant marketing touch.

Yes, only 1 advanced tech works on each engine. But it’s still assembled with bin parts, it’s torqued down with a machine to preset specs it’s not balanced or blueprinted.

And most importantly for MB it’s a lot more cost effective to build the AMG engines separately. If they ran them down the line, they would have the full years quota built in probably less than 2 weeks. Tooling up a line for this small of a production run is expensive.

Hey, I’m no master Tech but if I can tear one down and put it back together, then it’s not that complicated and it certainly is not a superior engine. It’s just a lot faster and a lot more fun

The only people that know the N/A engines are not “technically”handcrafted is us.

I thought the badge placement was clever. Great work

Just my 2 cents.

The cross member that contains the topic of this conversation, specifically the one 'hole' located in the middle of said brace also has 14 plus other holes. So, what is is that makes this HOLE special? Personally I like holes, they have many uses. On the whole this one seems to be singled out. OTOH that emblem can easily be placed on top of the engine. This whole thread has me questioning what is the difference between a whole hole and a hole?

No matter if an actual person fitted each part, all those parts were hand crafted. From the conceptualization to use, someone's hand crafted it.

Now, if you said 'hand assembled', then a machine wasn't used. I am pretty sure a lot of machines were involved in the assembly of the SRT-6, including all its individual parts.

Can the same be said about a 'clone'? LMAO...

Would you be referring to this clone?

I can safely say hand assembled engine and ton of other stuff
it came out of a wreak and I was assured it was running
it wasn’t, so it was a total tear down
