2005 SRT cannot find a replacement smart key anywhere. Chrysler discontinued it recently and I cannot find one anywhere,
The part number 68533818AA comes up out of stock nearly everywhere I look. The local Chrysler dealers, all the local key places, even Ace…out of stock of discontinued.
Any thoughts on where one may be found or perhaps even an alternative?
Thank you.

It's a small business, he and James are SUPER busy, as they and Needswings.com are all we have for keys these days. Give it a few days, if no answer, contact them again.
Also note that "Gannyx" is James, he's on here a lot where Josh isn't. Just message him here on the forum, he will take care of you.

They are not really out of stock, they just do not exist and have to be made on an individual basis. The key has to be cut to the shape required for that particular car and a chip has to be made to suit the SKREEM for that car. A few companies have managed to do the chip encoding so we have to pay what they ask unless you want to tear out your existing security system and install a used one from a parts car. Cheaper to buy the key I think, buy two and put one in a vault at the bank.
Buy spare parts using the Mercedes part number where possible and do not go to a Chrysler dealer, if they can they will buy a Mercedes part and resell it to you at twice the price , thats if they can be bothered to help you. Do not mention the part you buy at a Mercedes dealer is for a Crossfire as you will be lucky to touch the pavement when they throw you out the door. Get a Mercedes VIN number of a car that you know uses the part you want, in our case it would be an SLK320 or an SLK32.

That actually happened to me some years back when I told the Parts Guy at local M-B Dealer that I needed the Crankcase Breather Cover screws for my 2007 XFire Coupe. He told me he was not allowed to sell me any parts for my car. I told him he worked for a 'blankety-blank' dealer!

If you don't have an invoice from us, we normally don't send an address for few reasons, also I normally intake all calls and do invoices. @pizzaguy is right We are super busy, we just don't work with this community but mercedes in general this includes swaps, standalones and manual controllers
I recently bought a Cross at an auction without any key. I tried to get the key in the US but it didn't work. After bringing the car to Poland, I made two new keys, at a much lower price than they were offered to me in the US. . I will be happy to help you get the key in Poland. The total cost of one new key, including cutting the tip and programming it, was approximately USD 200. Of course, there would also be shipping costs to and from the US
Kudos to NeedsWings.
Purchased SRT6 in Nov 2023, came with functioning key but non-functioning fob. Sent fob with key to Rob at NeedsWings. He apparently found life in the fob. Had two new key/fobs and reconditioned original back within a week.
And to have a spare made you must send off your only key or remove the screem and send it in. Not just any key maker can duplicate it. Best sources are MSS, Mercedese Swap Shop or Needswings.
I had run across a Facebook page tight work Auto out of Florida has anyone had any experience with them, they apparently offer crossfire keys and programming in Florida

I know of one forum member who called them. It was something like $250. The two keys they made would not work.
bummer, looks like i better take extra good care of my 1 key 😂. so no other choice than to pay $300+ for a spare? ouch.... it really is a Mercedes 😜
You haven't priced replacement keys for other cars, have you? Long gone are the days where you can 'cut' a key and start the vehicle. My 2006 Vulcan and 2005 Ranger have no anti-theft RFID chips in their keys. But anything recent does.
