Default Scotty did not get beamed up

Seems actor James Doohan's (AKA "Scotty" on the original Star Trek) ashes were supposed to be rocketed into space yesterday along with a couple hundred others - plus 3 small satellites - but the rocket went Ka-BOOM over the Pacific Ocean instead.

On a lighter note, the guy who's heading this private space group is the same guy behind the Tesla Roadster. So far none of those have exploded over the Pacific Ocean.

Well that kinda sucks!
Boy, he'd be pissed too! After all, he never blew-up the Enterprise!

Well in a way he did get beamed up. At least his atoms were separated and, ah, repositioned.

I wonder how much it cost to have your ashes on board.

Would you have saved some extra in case of accidental rocket splosion????

Love the fact they can't really test those rockets!

Every rocket/space shuttle launch is a test.

Put that in your prospectus, lol

"Welcome to Northwest Airlines. Today you are flying on the new Airfutz 555A-Whalemouth transport. Unfortunately, Airfutz wasn't able to actually test the aircraft you are flying on, so the people in white coats and wearing parachutes are actually scientists here to run integration testing during the flight. In the case of an emergency..."

Well he was always the one who kept the ship from breaking up.
