No Airbag Lught - DTC - Implausible Signal in DRBIII
Seeing these 2 DTCs, Airbag light is off, Airbag key is turned on, and Fuse 3 looks good. Should I buy another Airbag module? As I understand it, I'd need to initialize it with DRB if I do? Afraid to have my wife or daughter in the car if the airbags aren't working.

Strange you’re not getting an air bag light my assumption would be nothing is wrong if that light is not appearing and fuse 3 is good but I’m not sure? I’m dealing with the a similar issue issue and purchased a junk yard module and didn’t realize it’s not plug and play (apparently another member posted theirs worked like that) but if you get anywhere let me know. I’m waiting on a carsoft MB scanner to test my air bag faults.

You are not telling us what you are doing. WHY are you looking at this? Did you change the module? Have you had issues of some sort, if so, what? What are you working on? NONE of us will recognize that ambiguous code, so try telling us the history here and perhaps we can put 2 and 2 together and give you an answer you can use.
You had to say it, so I had to respond, that's how the internet works:
Afraid to have my wife or daughter in the car if the airbags aren't working.
Why? I've been in two collisions since 2014. I was injured lightly in both crashes. BOTH times, my injuries came from the airbag deployment, not the collision.
Do not confuse a liability-mandated device (an airbag) with an actual safety device (a seatbelt or crumple zone). My airbag module in the car is bad and out of service, the one in my pickup has been disabled.
When I die and my son sells the car, the service history booklet says, on page 1: "The airbag module is disabled, the warning light is disabled and the airbags will not activate." (The truck will be dead long before then......)

Recently purchased the car, trying to find out which modules have a DTC and why, I've cleared and fixed most myself with replacing wiring and modules or Testing with DRB3 but not this. The amp area did have water in it and extensive Corrosion, the airbag light was previously on and then after changing the battery and replacing the stock infinity amp it is now off. I decided to use DRB to look at all the modules and these DTCs came up as active, that's my concern. I assumed the DRB code may be readily identifiable.

Cool flex I guess, I'm not interested in selling the car currently and may do that then. My daughter is 4, if it's all the same to you, I'd rather have a passenger airbag that works even if in the olden days they didn't have airbags and everyone turned out fine.

From another few posts in the forum I was reading it said the airbag module had to be initialized with a DRB3/Emulator or Star tool, I assume that's probably the issue you're having if it's still not working. I'll have to check through history and see if I can find the thread that references it.

Re: No Airbag Lught - DTC - Implausible Signal in DRBIII
When there is a hex code like that, then there is no code to research. The emulator can be buggy. When I've had a defective brake light switch, it also gives me a hex code but if I used an aftermarket scanner then it will give me the correct code for a defective brake light switch.
I don't think an aftermarket scanner can scan that specific module since it is Crossfire specific, the SLK 320 does not have that module to disable the passenger airbag.
Look at the side of the passenger dashboard and removed the side covering. See if you actually have the module there or if it is disconnected. It is where you can put in a key to enable or disable the passenger air bag.
Have your tried to clear the dtc to see what happens?
Worst case you should be able to find that module on eBay and it is easily changed since you don't have to tear apart the entire dashboard.

Please do a little research on the airbags of the 2007 & 2008 airbags (who knows if there are any other year Takata airbags in the prior three years of the Crossfire). They (NHTSA) so far only recalled the drivers steering wheel airbag for the model year 2007/08. These airbags were recalled by NHTSA as being defective, and a number of them when activated actually discharged metal fragments into occupants (drivers?). A few deaths and a number of serious injuries resulted (the reason NHTSA recalled them). You never mentioned your model year (some should, many do not), so it is important if you have a code please make sure your listing the model year, code(s), and also please remember DTC's do not actually say what to replace, but only a system or systems that may be responsible for that DTC or DTC's. We all hope you can find the issue, just need some common grounds for helping solve it if possible. Good luck!

Re: No Airbag Lught - DTC - Implausible Signal in DRBIII
Is there a "module" in the dash at the right side dash switch? I thought that was just a switch. There is a passenger airbag module in the footwell of the passenger side and as Isaacmaple08 said that area was wet in the past.
I do not think the passenger air bag module necessarily needs to be programed if replaced. The main air bag module in the centerline of the car behind the SLA needs programing if a new one is installed. Replacing either requires the correct year/model replacement so be very particular as to part number and hardware/software numbers when ordering a replacement.
