Sounds like you need a better ground. There is a loop somewhere that your amp is picking up. The ground loop isolator is the easiest way to fix it or go back and install it right. Another cheap fix is to run the ground from the amp to the antenna ground. That is usually where the loop is.

Quick question:

What kind of difference in sound are you going to get if the head/face of your sub is facing in, like Infinity's system?

not much I still have mine facing the rear because that's what I've always done but it really depends on the box, I use a sealed box.

Just to confirm, is this the "facing back" you're talking about?

I tried to install a two channel amp with a hi-lo crossover following the instructions from shawnkey, but when it came to the RCA cables I am having problems. I am using automotive RCA cables that have the + and - for each input, but for some reason when I connect them to the rear + and - on the amp I get nothing. Anyone know what could be wrong?

using one of the RCA wires and cutting them .. can you tap it into the wire near the speaker .. or does it need to be before the factory amplifier? im just hooking up an amp with one sub .. and if i did that is there anywhere i could find another remote source?

You want to tap into before the factory amp. You can use any 12v switch for a remote source, I just choose the factory amp remote. I had another car that was set up the amp to my headlights. This way I could use the amp whenever I wanted, or without them if I choose too.

you wouldn't fry the amp, but when you amplify an amplified signal, it becomes distorted, and will sound like crap.

okay.... i did the install with the rca wires cut and ran from the pins on the factory amp.. sounds amazing minus one thing... when i turn my bass up to say +5 and turn volume up to say 20 .. the stereo cuts out so im not getting my maximum out of my aftermarket amp/subs .. im running a 460 rms watt Kenwood(kac-7202) to 2- 12" Sony Xplodes in a single chamber box so they are both to one plug in the back of the box.. so its bridged at the amp.. and ive used this same setup in a previous car.. is there anything i could do to make this cutting out stop.. ? its pretty loud when i keep the bass down but i want it louder and this is stopping me! haha any help?!!
