JVC KD-NX5000 in silver that matches our interior!!!
Has anyone ever thought about have some company that custom paints ipods and computers and all sorts of other consumer electronics to paint an aftermarket radio to match our interiors? Check out this company. http://www.q2designs.com They paint ipods ands do graphics on computers. How hard would it be to get a few people together on one radio and have them paint 10 or however many of them the silver of our cars? I for one would jump all over this if there were other people that would commit to it and they would be game to do it as well. They are located here in MN which is where I live. I can see if I can check the place out and see what they can do if there would be any interest. Looking at prices, I'd say they would charge $100-$200 to do it but to me that would be so totally worth it. I for one would like to see that JVC KD-NX5000 in silver. It looks like the only trouble in painting it would the buttons on the corners might not light up any more but the rest of it looks like it should jsut be custom graphics and silver paint and voila, in-dash navigation DVD radio that matches the rest of our car.
What does everyone think? Is this something that might be possible or am I just dreaming?

If you get yours done, I would definitely like to see pictures.

www.colorwarepc.com is probably a better bet.. if you can get them to do it. They are VERY well known, and do OUTSTANDING work... a little pricey but you get what you pay for.
I've had numerous things done with them and everything is top notch, sometimes better then factory!!

where are they located? I saw something about Wisconsin. Anyone live near them and want to check them out? I'm checking out Q2 Designs tomorrow. Talked to the guy that owns it today so wish me luck when I stop in there.
Well good news. I saw some of their products today and they look magnificent! Only thing I'm leary about is not having a warranty on an 800 dollar radio. Guess now we just need to get some more people lined up.
