Default another alarm gone wild

Symptoms:
1. lights start flashing with no alarm sound for no apparent reason
2. when using key fob to disable - alarm siren starts
3.Cannot deactivate alarm with key fob or starting car - only way is to disconnect battery. ( I read several posts where disconnecting battery would not stop alarm but it does.) After connecting battery again, alarm starts after 1or 2 min. usually starting with several dying chirp sounds, then erractic chirps then full alarm again
Car starts and runs fine - I removed alarm fuse and central locking fuse to stop alarm and flashers.
4. Key fob does work except for panic button. only operates flashers - no siren
5. Load test rules out battery

My suspicion is it has something to do with the tow sensors.

Could be the bcm or some other faulty tow module.
I have no warranty so need to narrow it down if possible to repair without dealer

Update: car parked on incline in driveway so when alarm went on I started car and turned it around - after 1 min. alarm went off.

Well as you know I had similar problems last week.
I also ruled out the battery and ensured that everything connected to the alarm where closed (glove box, doors, windows, trunk, gas cap, hood, basically everything that opens or closes). Car is parked in a level garage and since that first night where it went off a couple times I have not had any problems since ... knock on wood. Wish I could help with a solution but I guess it is just all about chasing the ghost till you find something that works. Good luck, and apologize to your neighbors in advance.

Tha alarm goes off after 30 seconds normally, but the lights flash for 3 minutes.

This time after reversing incline of the car the alarm and lights went off together.

How about when the lights flash forever and the alarm never turns on?

I would try parking it on a level surface if possible, at least then you can narrow down if it is the tow sensor specifically.

looks to be the siren gone wild! So a mal-functioning siren can cause various unexplained alarm phenomena - paranormal type - sick birds on crack, flashing lights etc.

Argh! So mine is going off again. Unfortunately I am in Florida and my wife is in Michigan with the car. Is there a quick fix that I can explain to my wife over the phone. I am thinking something along the lines of pulling a fuse or cutting a wire. It does not need to be permanent just to silence the siren, I am less concerned about the flashers etc going off for a few minutes as long as it is silent. Any help will be appreciated.

pull the fuse - the number is something like 35? last one on the left row of fuses - it is marked as alarm

after removing the siren - there was silence! the lights stopped flashing as well. I never would have guessed that the siren could create the alarm issue. So anyone having similar alarm problems should check the Bosch siren as a possible solution.

Sarcasm is a beautiful thing - yet the siren was the problem after all. Silence is golden in this case thou - alarm now works as designed - just with flashing lights only
the fault codes, rear view mirror, who needs them?

Maybe I'm a bit stupid but .... what do you mean when you say only the lights flashing? Does the siren sound when it's supposed to?

My ridiculous alarm started this issue last week and so I've done the same as others and just removed the fuse. However, this not-having-working-locks and dome light thing has gotten old REAL quick. Where is that blood-sucking horn at so I can at least remove that thing until someone comes up with a solution to what the real issue is?

The siren is located under the cowl, between the hood and windshield. From what I have read you must remove the windshield wipers to get at it(the challenging part). The solution I have found though research on the forum is to just replace the siren unit. I have not tested it myself yet, as I am in Florida until Wednesday while the car is in Michigan. I will have it done by the end of the week though and will post my results. I ordered the part from http://chryslerpartsdirect.com, the part number is 5124443AB and it costs $151.32. Also I have read that replacing or at a minimum testing the battery can help, apparently our cars go crazy if they are not being fed the exact right voltage.
Also there is a good amount of info on the siren R&R here https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...lved-read.html
Hope this helps.

Right on, brother. I surely do appreciate it. It's such a pain in the fourth-point-of-contact not having door locks work with the key fob and not being able to secure the trunk. I'll get on it and see what happens
