Bluetooth?
Yeah, I noticed once I looked up the Freeway.
I'm looking for information relating directly to the one that is already installed on the car.
I already have something like the Freeway.
I have no clue.
It was installed in the car when I bought it.
Once I get into adding the aux in for the radio, I'll try to trace it back and see if I can identify model/manufacturer.
So many people in the forum says that there is no 'aux in' behind the factory HU...I need a bluetooth just to stream music from my phone, not to talk, so what happens if I open the HU and disconnect the CD reader and connect a bluetooth to the same port...so whenever I click on the CD button, actually bluetooth will work?

Im subscribing to this thread, cause I can't wait to see where THIS goes.
Works really good!
(This is the OLD STYLE of mobile phone mute/audio - back when you had an actual phone installed in the car. I know of no way of doing this with a handheld phone, not saying you could not do it, but you need audio out AND a mute line from the cell phone. Where ya gonna get a mute line? UNLESS the little box you have there has an audio-sensed mute function in it.)
I wont be using that 3.5 cable...
I will disassemble both of the devices(HU and the Bluetooth) and figure out a way to connect them to each other by disabling the CD input.
And I will connect the bluetooth adaptor to somewhere which has a 5volt current so I wont need to charge it ever again...
By the way, I have 0 experience with the headunits/stereos but I know if I work on something, I will accomplish

The factory NAV head has a mobile phone mute/audio input on it. I use mine for my GMRS/FRS radio when we do Dragon meets - the GMRS radio, when someone talks or when I transmit, mutes the AM/FM/CD and plays the FRS radio audio thru the passenger side speakers.

So, if I have the radio on and the phone rings, I just hit the phone button and it mutes the radio?
That is the idea - Im just unsure of the exact product you have there, but that is a reasonable expectation of how it works.

If you can pull this off, you will have a LOT of followers on here wanting to follow in your footsteps.
Considering how many have tried and failed, I expect you to fail as well - but I sincerely hope you prove me wrong.

wow, that's ***** there! go for it!
I have failed on the factory radio Bluetooth in my ml320 and c32 thus far, gave up and have the sun visor Bluetooth thingies in them now. @ ~ $40 it bought my way out of those headaches.
