Is this a common problem when starting. How difficut is it to repair

Ya, Pizza has some pretty good ones, made me LOL too! Getting ready to drive mine again (been parked since 11 April), after FCA gets the registered letter from my lawyer!

A few more letters from your lawyer and you could have purchased a parts car to get an airbag and any other spare part you wanted, with the lawyers fees.
