Default Kenwood KMR D378BT

I just purchased a Kenwood KMR D378BT unit for my Grandsons Crossfire and also purchased the VW01B adapter that I used for my Kenwood head. They do not seem to mate with each other. Has anyone else installed the D378BT and if so what adapter, if any, did you use?

Thanks

Hey Z,
If you get a moment, could you post a picture of the unit installed? I’m looking at the same one for my car and have been searching high and low for a matching color unit.

thanks,
be well!

The silver Kenwood marine units are a good colour match. I had one once it looked fine.
Here it is with the instructions for installation. CLICK

I would suggest you consider using an updated wiring harness (Metra 70-1786) that allows you to use the RCA ports on the back of the Kenwood unit. I'm getting ready to install a Pyle PLCD43MRB in my coupe & I'm using the upgraded wiring harness. Saves from having to make all the speaker wiring connections. My $0.02. Here are a few choices:

I have to admit that the Kenwood unit looks really good installed in the Crossfire. Visible on the instructions posted by onehundred80.
