2005 chrysler crossfire convertible roadster srt-6 super low mileage only 7k miles !!
i am sick of those of you assuming its a flood car, I HAVE ALREADY STATED IT IS NOT, if it was it would be branded so and i would disclose it as so, please refrain from taking guesses as what was wrong with it, it is not fair for you to make assumptions and influence the sale because of the things you say which are WRONG and incorrect and you have no evidence to back it up. i would ask for the moderators to step in here please.
The first owner was the dealership, the second had the vehicle from around 12/12/2004 when it was first sold initially, you can tell this by the mileage since it went from 999 to 3,362 if you are going to pull a carfax you better learn how to read it, and know how to interpret it, and understand how they guess on owner history best they can from what they have to go on, the information is never 100%, the history on this car checks out very well.
And the car was transported to Il from FL, when I bought it at the IAA auction in FL, the car was a RUN and DRIVE condition vehicle, i liked the history verifiing mileage on it when i ran it before i bought it, since I am in IL of course I had it transported here. Come on people, there's nothing wrong with that.
The vin is 1C3AN75N45X038451, I thought I posted it a long time ago, in any case its in the CL ad, not hard to find.
Final price drop before it goes back in storage $16,500, that's a great price for it, someone just sold one on here with 75,000 miles on it for $14K.

I have bought salvage cars for daily drivers and beaters on the farm. But not for Keepers. I'm the guy who paid $14K for Beeker's well cared for SRT-6, and I wouldn't go to $16.5 for a funky titled car. 'Cause I plan to drive the thing.
Put you car in Hemming's for the guys who have money for such garage queen toys. I listed and sold a beautiful, albeit funky titled, 57 T-bird there with no problem.

The auction company - as I was informed - will only "discuss" with the buyer.. CYA program for those who like to snake a sale afterwards it looks like.
If you are the individual who purchased the vehicle through Salvagebid.com then you may call our support team at 1(360)347-1300, or email at Support@Salvagebid.com for assistance.
We are only able provide information on a purchase to the individual whose name is on the account that purchased it.

Probably could have a Chrysler Service Advisor print out car service history. When I asked for that info it included former owner contact. The dealer also told me the former owner would be happy to talk to me about car after purchase.
What boggles my mind, is someone who is so knowledgeable with salvage vehicles and buys and sells them regularly doesn't have a clue as to the reason. PerformanceIsland doesn't strike me as the type of person who doesn't do their homework.
In any event, a fair asking price is several thousand above what a Chrsyler or MB dealer would take as a trade.

Pretty sad when you have to play guessing games to get to the truth.. seems to be a trendy thing this year..
Well. All I can say, is I have bought salvage titled cars before. My Suzuki is a salvage. I bought with 5500 miles on the odometer. It was a stolen vehicle. Ran through a fence and had minor front end damage and scratches from the fence. It is still scratched, but a new bumper cover on the front. I have had it for years now, and it has 60k miles on it. You have to check them out in person. You can tell if the mileage is correct. The car will be clean underneath. You can tell if had flood damage by lifting the carpet and so on. You guys all know this. So, either pay his price or leave it alone. He can ask whatever. Doesn't mean he will get it. I wouldn't pay anywhere near that price for a salvage title. The car can be perfect, but title kills it unless you want to own it forever. I paid 3500 bucks for my Suzuki 8 yrs ago, and I wouldn't take 10 grand for it today. I have been offered double what I paid as is lol. So some salvage cars are worth it...
I believe folks can assume what they want. Granted if it was a flood vehicle it would be titled as such. While its in storage why don't you contact IAA or the insurance company that totaled it and get the information on the reason for the title branding. Maybe then folks won't assume the worst case scenario and you'll be able to get more for it. Actually, what I understand is you should go to a dealer and ask for trade-in based on salvage title...add a couple thousand on top of that and you have a fair price.
This vehicle has a rebuilt title, not salvage title for those that continue to refer to it as such, big difference. Salvage title cars cannot be driven. Rebuilt titles can be insured, driven, registered, etc.
Any member here in Chicagoland? willing to come by and review the car?
For those of you that are curious what I paid for the vehicle, I paid very, very, very close to what i am asking at this point, It's almost a break even at this point, and because of the hard time I am getting here and the bs comments on speculation, like oh there must be something wrong with it because its rebuilt, from people that know nothing about the vehicle and have not seen it in person, I am really tempted to keep it, its a beautiful car that i will never be able to replace if i sell it, so it's ok. I'm a bit dissapointed in some of the members here, you don't make derogetory statements about vehicles you don't know or haven't seen, any car i have ever sold is in outstanding condition. I've listed a few rebuilt title slk32s on here with very happy buyers, I never thought i'd get so much crap over something a lot of people don't even have first hand experience with.

When i bought the vehicle form progressive auto insurance through my own account at IAAI, i tried to get info, they do not disclose any claim information to a third party, only the previous/original owner can get that, but then again they already know what happened, i do not know, nor can i get info of previous owner, privacy laws. Maybe if you know someone at the dealer and they are willing to risk losing their job they can give you the contact info for the original owner if they even had it since it was not at the dealer before i brought it in myself, I do not know anyone willing to do that. or if you know someone at the insurance company willing to do the same. I already stated what my suspicions were about the vehicle as well as what i just wrote about getting info, we seem to be going in circles here, but i guess that keeps the thread alive. if there were any other signs of anything i would have found it, i do my research and was very comfortable buying this car to start with. I know its harder without seeing the vehicle in person, but anyone interested in it is welcome to look at it in person first.
