Default Rear Deck Lid won't Lock

Just noticed when I came out of the grocery store this evening that the deck lid wasn't locked. Rest of car was? Anybody know if this is a pneumatic lock?
I think I saw a TSB about patching a pneumatic lock hose line and I wonder if that is what is going on. Any thoughts before I subject my car to the dealer?

Thanks - Pat

I would think it is electric. You use it when the car is off, I am pretty sure about this.

Thanks guys. What scares me now is, how much of my interior is going to get torn up repairing this??? I saw that TSB Andrew, thanks for verifying it.

Just got mine fixed. It was a vacuum hose underneath the rear compartment. The dealer repaired it no charge.

I had the same experience last summer, it wasn't really much of a problem to fix. It took the dealer about half an hour while I waited, said it was a ruptured vacuum line.

I believe that was the same problem found with mine.

Fixed. Apparently the line that controls the rear hatch lock was crimped and broken at a point just behind the passenger door. They did a nice job, no big deal.

Patpur,

I just noticed this problem recently. There is a hissing sound coming from the rear passenger side. I'm also in Maryland. Which dealership did you have your work done?

Courtesy (Now DAR) in Rockville did mine in half a day. KOW I've had no problem with it since then.
