Question New to forum

Just found this forum on the net. I am glad to say hello to all the Crossfire owners listed. Does anyone know how to remove the air cleaner cover for a 2004 Crossfire? I think that the retaining bolts are set in so that the bolt head is facing down, but I am not sure.
Has anyone had a transmission problem? Torque converter went out after 18K miles. I believe that I still have a vibration in the transmission after they replaced the converter. The dealer told me that it is happening at an alarming rate and that the supply of converters was indeed limited. I caused a scene and the dealer located one in LA and had it in within a week.

Regards,

Grab hold of it in the back, center and pull up and toward you...it pops right off. Remove air inlet hoses up front before doing that to make it a little easier.

Have no idea what your dealer is talking about... what type of converter failures are we having, I drive the hell out of my Crossfire automatic and have no problems at all, and I mean I drive it hard Brother... please fill us in with information concerning this converter problem you encountered, I want to know all about it... as for your vibration in your transmission, could be the tech did not tighten all the transmission mounts or one could be broken... hooah?

Good to have new blood on the forum Brother, welcome.

Question Re: New to forum

Just a quick question to all.
Has anyone heard anything about a recall of the Crossfire?
I was talking to the dealership where I purchased my Crossfire and they told me that a recall was being considered. I asked why and I was told that the bad publicity from such magazines as consumer reports on the problem of "blind spots" had already caused the discontinuance of production of the vehicle and that there was litigation pending concerning the "blind spots" issue. I sent an e-mail to Chrysler asking for all the public information concerning litigation against them concerning the Crossfire and "blind spots" and asked about the recall issue. As expected I was told in my answering e-mail that they would get back to me.

LOL. I highly doubt there is a recall because of blind spots. Every high dollar sports car has blind spots. The old countach was a rolling blind spot.
