So let me get this straight...it takes 12 quarts just for the transmission oil??? On top of the 8-8.5 that's in the engine case. Jeeez these cars have a lot of oil in them.

I think I read somewhere about my manual tranny only having like a quart of that oil (less moving parts). Anyone know if us stick drivers need to change ours?

Actually the owners manual calls for a new filter change and new fluid at 80,000 miles, after that it is good for life. Or at least that is what it says.

Hi again guys. This is all very interesting. But does ANYONE actually know how to get that weird looking cap/seal off that auto-trans filler tube just behind the air-filter housing? Please. I'm desperate to find out. Thanks.
