Maybe someone can answer me this?!
Didn't know where to post this or to title it.
If i buy a car from a private seller (2004 25k miles) can i go to the Chrysler Dealership and purchase an extended warrenty for the car? I called my nearest dealership and the guy gave me the Chrysler 1-800 number for custom service with questions like mine. I was kinda mad he didn't know the answer.
This is a key factor for me, if the answer is no then i have to buy from a dealership to get the extended warrenty.
- Thanks!

If when purchasing the car you are the 2nd owner you then have the option of transferring over the 7/70 Powertrain warranty. I think it will cost you $100, but I would call Chrysler to confirm.
Most dealerships offer extended warranties through outside companies as well as Chrysler. Chrysler may only offer it at original point of purchase though. If you have trouble getting an answer from Chrysler just grab a copy of Autoweek and check the classifieds at the back. You shouldn't have any trouble getting an aftermarket extended warranty (it may require a vehicle inspection first though).
The short answer is yes. If the car is within 48 months and 48K miles of it's in service date, then you can purchase a DC service contract for it. Here is the link for a DC dealer that sells contracts on line and their prices are really good.
My brother works for a DC dealer, and he told me that these prices are $50 over dealer cost.

If it is an '04, it should have a transferable 7/70 powertrain on it. Depending on when it's in service date was, you may or may not have to pay a $100 transfer fee.
PM me the vin# and i will be able to get that info for you

Blackbelt,
I paid a dealer the $150.00, to a dealer, for the 7/70 but have not gotten anything from Chrysler. Should I have another dealer check it out? 1C3AN65L55X055963, a 2005 Roadster Limited.

If what you want is to buy an extended warranty, I would recommend you buy an extended warranty that any dealer or certified repair shop will accept. This way you can always take it to a MB dealer or MB repair shop where they know what they're doing. I'll send you a link tomorrow to a reputable warranty co. I'm about to board a plane right now, and don't have the time to search for it.
Good Luck.
Good Luck.
